lol somehow I don't feel got by this wall of text. There's hundreds of games with incest here, funnily enough they're doing fine. My response was more in response to you having some kind of high ground of "but they're a business". As if we're not on a website that specializes in posting ALL of these games for free. What does any of that have to do with omitting things like incest in a game to avoid getting kicked off a platform through which a portion of your earnings come? This is your response. Seriously? OK... Here we go, then:
You managed an impressive number of ludicrous and irrelevent points in only a few sentences. Well done. I'm having trouble determining if you're actually ignorant on all of this or if you are being willfully obtuse in your response. I'll just add you to my Ignore list because I'm assuming posts like I've seen so far are par for the course for you.
- business: a commercial or sometimes an industrial enterprise.
There's nothing "generous" about the term business being applied here. "Business" does not automatically mean "big business" like EA or Bethesda.
- "jerking around patrons for years" / "see you in a year": There have been consistent updates for a long time with this game. Steady progress has been made with each of the girls in turn, and the game's main plot has continued along at a reasonable pace.
I can't see how this describes this game in any way.
- "here's your 20 minute update": Only maybe true if you Ctrl-skip, but that's your own fault then. If you actually read everything, it takes far longer than 20 minutes to get through content with each release.
There is actual text that goes along with all the pretty pictures, you know.
- "$30 pre-made Daz models" / "giving me thousands of dollars a month": Everyone starting from scratch will come into development at different personal financial realities. If someone literally has less than US$200 to spend on resources, they obviously scrape and cut corners wherever they can.
You probably have some specific developers in mind. Your claim about the money they make is drastically overstated for the vast majority of adult game developers, though. Check the Patreon stats (on Graphtreon) for 40 or 50 developers and then see how many of those are actually making what you claim. The percentage will be pretty low. Are there some scammers? Definitely. Is Bear in the Night and their team among them? I don't even remotely think so.
I don't give a shit about the people making these games or their bottom line, and I don't for a second think you do either despite your grandstanding here. Or you are you really going to try to convince me, or your self for that matter, that you're subbed to ever single patreon for every single game you've played here, this website devoted to pirating these porn games, a website you're very active on.
my point about the "thousands of dollars a month" was pointed directly at this dev. With over 6000 patreon members. making bank for three years on one unfinished visual novel.
lol, someone here is getting grifted, and spoiler alert, it ain't the developer.
