Yeah they are both really good and if this art had been there from the start people would of been awed by it just as much as Javier's I reckon (in a sea of 3d renders), its only because there is something to compare it to that some people are picking it apart. Just my two cents.

I little dissapointed for the new changes :( , because i really liked the art on the previous female chars . On the other hand, i would like animations to be included.


P.S. For some reason i have a feeling that this game is going to be abandoned... some day.

Remembered I haven't checked for updates to this great game in a while and boy, oh boy, did I get surprised!

Sucks we have to wait a looong time to see the story continue from after (old) chapter 5. Hopefully every reworked chapter will have completely new scenes worth playing again. More Lei would be appreciated and Alice plus Sophie always equals fun and could easily be integrated. More BMB app interactions also would be easy to implement into the story without changing anything (I'm guessing most or all old dialogue will be used in reworked chapters, only changing stuff they're not happy with anymore).

The new character, Juliet, looks great and I'm looking forward to seeing more of her (she gives me massive Holly from Our Red String vibes). I hope it wont't be a by-the-numbers "innocent nerdy girl gets corrupted" story though. My guess is you'll be able to push her towards a more "sexy" behavior, corrupt her, maybe watch Tom or Lei corrupt her or protect her from that, set her up with Darren (his possible relationship with Sophie hasn't really taken off yet) or maybe even start a love route with her yourself.

The new art style: I have to say I prefer the clean and almost photorealistic old art though it had some subpar images (some over-the-top facial expressions, weird proportions). The new more "handdrawn look" is also really good but not as gorgeous as the old one. Alice loks more girl-next-door (and has, especially in close-ups, giant freckles), Lei has a bit more asian features (I guess she has a chinese-american mother?), Bonnie gained quite a few pounds and doesn't look look like a "typical dumb blonde" anymore. We'll have to wait and see how good the first non-solo sex scenes are.

I'll be coming back to this game and hope it makes good progress!

And that is one of the reasons i prefer the new art style. They look more verisimilar, more close to their ingame descriptions. Alice is supposed to be a dork country bumpkin, Lei a rich and spoiled brat of asian ascendancy and Bonnie her "friend" who has self steem issues because of how she perceives her body.

In the previous art style (as mentioned by someone else - who i forgot) everyone looked like models all dressed up and on make up ready for work.

It's porn. Why wouldn't we want the girls to look like supermodels?
Because some people like variations in their LIs. It's personal preference.

Myself, I can go either way. Doesn't bother me one way or another, as long as the girls aren't too far out of proportion.

I like both "idealised" and more realistic body proportions personally. A type for each day, right?
A waist you can grasp in your closed fist is nice every once in a while!

Hey guys!

Work this week has been slower, since we’ve been busy solving some issues:
The first of them was bothering us since C1R’s launch but we couldn’t quite put our finger on it. Eventually, we noticed that all ingame art seemed less saturated than when we were working on the image files. We couldn’t understand why at first, but after some tests, we discovered that it was due to an option during the image export into .webp files. It seems this option distorted the final colors.

The good news: we can now solve this problem!
The bad news: we have to export every single image file again…

It’s a hassle, but we get to use it as an opportunity to improve some facial expressions, give more dynamism to some poses and sprites, and some other changes that you suggested in the feedback forms (which you can still ).

The second issue is determining the aspects of the new character we want to introduce. Yes, you’ll meet an LC’s brand new character in C2R! This means looking for references, designing the character, their stats, how they interact with the rest of LC’s cast, who they know, the different paths we want for them, their evolution, and so on. It’s a long process, but without doing this work we won’t have a basis to establish a coherent storyline on.

Finally, we’re making a poll for next week so that you can decide Alice’s new outfit for C2R.

Feel free to comment with your thoughts on these changes, and whatever speculation you want to make about the new character!

I am not buying this excuse. Exporting images is as simple as doing "save as". Even when working on 8K images it does not take longer than few seconds for a single file. Should not be more than an afternoon of work!

Didn't you read what she said? She only said it's a hassle (and it really is, even if it only takes an afternoon of work) but also that they are going to take the chance to rework some of those pics, since they'll need to export them again either way. So it will definitely take more than an afternoon of work.
