I thought the old Alice in the art was ultra hot, the new one not as much. Still a babe though so I will continue to check it out.I didn't really follow this game until now so maybe I'm biased, but just from a quick glance I actually think the old art looks really fucking bad. And the cat looks cross-eyed. View attachment 2243171
True, it's like they want the game to be cancelled.Related to another post, I don't think that people realize that all the negativity towards devs has an effect. I've seen devs say they don't enjoy the constant wave of negative comments. The dev who made My Sister, My Roommate said he isn't sure if he wants to make another game because of the garbage people spew.
In a forum like this few things are worse than a entitled pirate. It is a good thing redlolly patrons aren't a bunch of assholes but instead are quite understanding of what she had to deal with in the last year.True, it's like they want the game to be cancelled.
If you'd take the time to read the thread a bit, you'd learn why, instead of spouting off nonsense. The original artist they had left the team, and wouldn't let them use the art anymore. So they had to start all over with a new artist and redo all the art. In doing so, this also gave them a chance to redo some of the story and add new storylines to it as well. This game is ok so far. The art style is great and the story is fine but I really feel bad for the patrons who supported this game and got screwed basically. The nerve the dev got...collecting all this money and starting the game from scratch again, boy I would be mad as hell. And on top of that it took him more than a year to complete 2 chapters LOL.
Some pro scamming right here.
The amount of research can easily be guessed: didn't even get dev's gender right. If you'd take the time to read the thread a bit, you'd learn why, instead of spouting off nonsense. This isn't like other games where they are like "We are reworking the game after years of work". Their hand was forced to have to start over. Originally, after the artist left, they were pretty down and were going to abandon the project all together. But after much support from their fans, they got a new artist and decided to push through, even though they were forced to start over.
While true, their point about remaking 2 chapters taking a whole year still stands. Especially when the original chapters were released on a 3 month/chapter schedule. If you'd take the time to read the thread a bit, you'd learn why, instead of spouting off nonsense. They didn't just had to start over. More was added to the story and the ammount of artwork for the new version is a lot more than the previous version. Curiously people complaining about the game never mention that. While true, their point about remaking 2 chapters taking a whole year still stands. These might be somewhat different things, though -- that is comparing time it took to find a suitable replacement artist and then produce replacement content, vs just time to produce original content. We don't know how much time was spent on finding the original artist before the initial release, it could've been easily months and months, too. While true, their point about remaking 2 chapters taking a whole year still stands. Yep, and she already had a story in mind, she just changed it a bit. It's not like she started working on a brand-new game. While true, their point about remaking 2 chapters taking a whole year still stands. Especially when the original chapters were released on a 3 month/chapter schedule.
Im not contract scientist but I'm pretty sure no sane person would run a project with the assumption that the artist can just take off and leave with his art.If you'd take the time to read the thread a bit, you'd learn why, instead of spouting off nonsense. It'd be hardly the first time ever couple of friends/acquaintances decide to start some amateur venture together and it doesn't even occur to them to make a formal contract, because they don't expect any sort of falling out down the road.Im not contract scientist but I'm pretty sure no sane person would run a project with the assumption that the artist can just take off and leave with his art.
It's not a AAA Game company. It's some people getting together to make amateur porn games. I'm pretty sure there were no business meetings and contract signings with negotiations while they all sipped some bourbon and smoked cigars.Im not contract scientist but I'm pretty sure no sane person would run a project with the assumption that the artist can just take off and leave with his art.
