thank you so much, you have literally saved me from an endless agony of searchingThere's a box on the very top of the shelf over the bed that is hard to find.
As Gohan007 said, the developer would have to pay the old artist to keep using his art in the game. Not feasible for a indie developer with a low income on funds.Just find starting the whole game from scratch again completely pointless and a waste of time. It would have been easier to stop the old version and call it say 'act 1' and have the new art and characters for 'act 2' onwards.
Tom is a spoiled rich brat. Cringe is a default status for those kind of people. And that one just made me cringe when I saw it
I'll have to look out for a gallery or something, check out the adult content before judging too much.View attachment 2236220
wtf is this Justin Gayber shit lmao!! someone posted it here and i laughed like crazy !!!
Gigantic Cringe shit OMFG !!!! And also some pop up pics are way too rough other than that its not that bad !!
Eh, the old art felt like high-end adult vn art, but somewhat generic adult vn art. Like porcelain models always standing in front of diva lights. Facial expressions, especially the smiles, felt a bit fake and plastic. The youthfulness of the new art adds a certain layer of erotic tension, sort of like watching virgins discovering sex for the first time. Plus, the new art is better lit, and better textured. It just feels... more alive. Plus, it seems like the new art is easier to panel, leading to more dynamic story reveals.new art is more fit for high-school themed funny cartoons that were published in teen magazines than adult explicit vn. girls are far less attractive, male too. basically new art looks like cheap copy of some hi-tech gadget.
but this is my opinion. some will agree, some won't about new art, although reading posts above almost everyone agree previous art was superior
What I don't understand is.. the dev is still using Javier's art in the main menu of the game. At least it sure looks like his art. From what I remember, as long as she's using his art, she has to pay part of her patreon profits to him. So what's happening here? No way you could overlook something when it's right in the main menu, right?I personally think the artist just found a better source of income and maybe didnt wanted to be associated with some patreon porn game hence "dont use my art" thingy, the art was too good for a cheap porn game imo, if i was that artist and i got for example, a good offer from some company i would definitly ditch this side gig that doesnt pay as much.
"artist was uncomfrtable" is probably piar excuse, wich is understandable, new art is alright, but to be honest, i never found sex scenes writing that good(that Sophie masturbation scene was so cringe, and the sex between them later was pretty lame), so in terms of porn game the only thing i liked was the art, outside of fapping it was an alright game, will see how it goes in the next 2-3 years, not much in term of content here yet anyway.
you clearly misread my comment... because "act 2" would have been solely with the new art...Dev would've had to pay the previous artist royalties if she kept his art in, it wasn't really viable to pay two artists at the same time.
She'd still have to pay the artist for continuing to use the old art, hence the royalties Gohan mentioned. RedLolly didn't fully own the art, only then your idea would work.you clearly misread my comment... because "act 2" would have been solely with the new art...
Again you seem to have misread my comment, what part of the OLD ART WOULD NOT be used again are you missing...She'd still have to pay the artist for continuing to use the old art, hence the royalties Gohan mentioned. RedLolly didn't fully own the art, only then your idea would work.
You're right, I misread your comment. The reason is I don't see the point in selling Act 2 when Act 1 isn't available anymore. People who didn't play it would hardly be convinced to start a game mid-story and people who played it would be frustated their choices don't matter anymore. Sure, you could add an import function for old saves, but then players had to switch between the different games with the different art; not very satisfying. And new players would ask "where can I get Act 1 to have different paths?" just to find out they can't (legally). That's why I assumed you meant selling Acts 1 and 2 together.Again you seem to have misread my comment, what part of the OLD ART WOULD NOT be used again are you missing...
If will clarify further that "Act 1" would be the old version and not sold again. "Act 2" would be the new art and continue on from the old version. There would be a brief text summary of "Act 1" with character sprites (USING NEW ART), and to take what College Kings did, a 'simple' yes no path builder.
That could have worked, but this "Act 1" couldn't have been available for download from anywhere, so people who had only discovered this "Act 2" wouldn't be able to play the whole game (Act 1 + Act 2) 'legally'. And if you are going to use that Act 1 story only as an intro for Act 2 and even using the new art instead of the original, you might as well go all in and do a total rework expanding it and setting the foundations for a deeper and more complex story than the one the old content would allow you to create in that Act 2.Again you seem to have misread my comment, what part of the OLD ART WOULD NOT be used again are you missing...

Yeah...like, really. This game still looks lovely, the only actual little bummer is that, due to the changes of the story, the game hasn't progressed past the point it was at what feels like a year ago now.Bruh the new art is fine. Yeah it's a downgrade because the previous art was insanely good. Get some perspective, the new artstyle is significantly better than 90% of the games posted here. Y'all have been spoiled by the old style.
