i dont care about the art i care that they are holding up new releases under them because they keep reuploading or whatever scheme they are using to keep themselves as the "just now" person on the page, fuck them, fuck this, if there game is so shit they cant compete they should just delete it, otherwise let you content speak and gain merit.
I dont think he can use the images of what was the previous game. So he has to remake it. Why will he release a new update if many people, even possible new fans or new supporters will not understand what came before?
And if the people who support the game financially are ok with the remake without new releases, there is nothing we can do about it.

While it's unprofessional, the fault is with the dev for taking people money and not making a proper contract with her employees so she can deliver on her promises.
I really feel bad for her supporters.
Honestly, I can't wholeheartedly disagree with that sentiment.

legal issues? pretty sure there would not have been any legal issues. The other artist may have made a request to not use their art anymore, but they wouldn't have had to honor it.
Still this game would have been better off continuing from where the first version ended and maybe take in to account changes they wanted to make and slowly redo the first part.
It's taken way too long to get back and updates with no content isn't helping their old supporters or getting new ones.
I do agree about the art though, it's clearly worse, but it's pointless to cry about something out of the Devs hands.
this is not how the world works. You guys think everything should be the way your little inexperienced mind thinks. And if he, after the other artist left, decided to remake it from the start and his patreons are ok with it, then let him do his thing. Saying someone has no reason to honor something only because you want masturbate, that is a lil messed up.

Does anyone like you in your life? Yes that's how the world works. IF you commission art for money, you own that art. Not the artist making it.
If they had some deal that made that not the case, that's fine, but that is very much not the standard.
I can guarantee you that their patreons are not ok with it, it's simply what the dev thought they had to do.
You should make sure what you are saying is correct before you type it out acting like a smartass.
Maybe your little inexperienced mind is what needs a more broad worldview.
I said dev has no reason to honor it because that's not how that works.
If dev talked about it with the artist and agreed not to use their art anymore for whatever reason that's different.
Now can you stop putting words in peoples mouths and make conclusions about others intentions on your own?
People might like you more that way.

She didn't commissioned the orignal art, they were partners and he left. It was either remake the game with new art or abandon it

I guess it depends on the gray area of their agreement/contract then, probably didn't want to mess with the possibility of a legal case. Also the reason you employ artists instead of partner with them. So you own what they create. I am not familiar with how a partnership and ownership over art would work in this case. If the Artist was paid for their work even as a partner, I'm sure there is some leeway there legally. But no point in puruing that since legal costs would probably be an issue.

Damn, I love Tom. I am new so what did he look like previously?

Edit: Controversial opinion but I like most of the newer portraits, Tom's especially. Only his sexting pic was better than the newer him imo. Obviously, would love more forwardness with Tom in the rework, he needs to put a litter in his kitten~

Yes, the new art is more cutesy, girly and colourful, so what?! Seriously, it's like if a non-talented amateur did the art you would be more amazed. You have a thousand other games with 3dcg and 2dcg so play them. I haven't seen people complain about art in College craze and GGGB that much. Also, saying the characters look like teenagers, haven't you met people in real life that are older but looks younger? Yet, some of you are playing lolicon. At this point it's talking to a wall.

Old art was so much better... new one looks like it have been made by an amateur compared to it. it's not ugly but when you've know the first one, looks so much levels below in quality... that's too bad...
YES the old art was better ! YES the new one's looks like it was made by a perverted 5yo child !
Thank you for your very original and useful comment, I'm sure they'll change back once again now you told them (you and 10000 others).

Now can we stop whining about art and start crying more about how much time they take to update an already written and storyboarded game ? I miss complaining people here, too many positive comments...

I hope you understand that art style preference is a matter of OPINION right? Everybody got different taste.
Do you always whinge when somebody criticizes your favorite porno games?

Anyway, I like the new art style, it's more unique IMO, but I get why people would prefer the old one.

I feel fairly confident in stating that the developer probably did not want to start over, but was forced to because the original artist kept the copyright on the original art.

Normally, the artist is an employee of the game developer and so the art becomes the property of the developer. In this game niche, though, the artist probably is more a partner than an employee, and so is in a position to pull out of the project and take their artwork with them. I've seen that happen before in games here.

As to whether or not the artist was being fully forthcoming when claiming that they didn't want to do lewd art any more, or whether it was more of a case of the artist not thinking the gig was remunerative enough, I can't say. Good artists are in demand in the commercial world and some company perhaps made them an offer they couldn't refuse.

I don't like the new art as much as the old, but it is perfectly serviceable and art isn't the reason I play the game. The restart is an unfortunate hiccup, but it doesn't diminish my desire to see this game succeed.
