People are coming here just to see if the Abandoned tag has been put up.

That tag is really for people who DON'T keep track of what's going on. It really doesn't mean much to those who follow a particular game. It will either be continued or it won't. The Abandoned tag won't affect that either way.

No developer has ever said: "Oh, woe is me! F95 has marked my game as Abandoned. DAMN! I was just going to post an update too. Oh well, I'll just have to do something else with my life. Anyone want to by some slightly-used renders?"

But there WILL be posters who, after the tag is applied, will rush here to say that their reason for living has finally been justified.

I agree with what you are saying, but the Abandoned tag does also help new users avoid getting sucked into supporting a game that’s probably not going to keep going. When you’re new to these games and their dev cycles anything helps.

Of course, that is exactly what the tag is for. But that doesn't explain the gleeful anticipation shown by some at the prospect of having that tag implemented. Nor will it explain the joy they will express when it is eventually attached, as if it will somehow punish the developer for not continuing the game.

This developer has shown no respect for those of us who started playing her game. Shame on her! But nothing that is written or done on this thread will affect her an any way. It's too late for that.

It was a fun game, and I thought it had a lot of potential. I supported for a while on Patreon, until the remake announcement. It's a pity, but there are other games to play if this doesn't get continued.

most of the time, people love to know they're right about something. the joy of validation, the confirmation of one's beliefs is quite empowering. it's not about "punishing the dev", it's more like: "see? I knew this game wasn't worth my time/support! I was RIGHT!"

I'm not saying this to mock anyone. it's a universally normal feeling. kids raise their hands in class to answer questions nad feel said validation. sports fans love to see their predictions come true, even when it's bad for their team, people enjoy seeing elections turn out as they "knew" they would. here? people anticipate seeing a game get its abandoned tag when they expect it.

Weird? ehh, maybe. on point? you bet it is, considering how many great games are abandoned here.

The time finally comes for the Abandoned Tag, saw this coming few years ago, but some people here in the past refused to believe what im saying and said im just spreading negativity, like bruhhh, im just telling you to save your money, theres so many red flags, yet they chose to ignored all of it.

The moment she ghosted her patrons when saying the old chapter five was near, and then came back with a notice that saying the old artist chose to quit, and she wants to remake everything, thats the one of the red flag.

After she announced that, she said that she will still forced the old chapter 5 to released while working the new chapter 1, which was very stupid no matter what, paying double the money just to abandoned one version the moment it got released, thats a red flag.

The development of old chapter five that she said was near, took even longer by at aleast couple months + one month where she ghosted everyone before the announcement, thats a red flag.

She chose to changed to reworked the whole story, while her priority is to released the new chapter as soon as possible, thats a red flag.

But i guess these blind fans who were full with positivity chose to turned blind eye on these red flags, and when im just trying to remind them these red flags in the past, im the bad guy, like bruhhh

If they are still willing to pay, their money is better in Redlolly's hands.

This is kind of a bummer as this had a unique visual style. This is also why I don't donate a dime until a game is complete. I've been burned too many times on games that are either unfinished or take years to complete. I'll donate $50-100 on a game as thanks after it's completed but I don't donate before.

What could be the reason for this? Lolly simply dropped developing or trouble with the artist again? I think that after the old artist has gone, she should've deactivate her patreon, rewrite the whole game and then find the new artist to just draw everything.

Oh, incredible, she abandoned the game.
What? Do think the developer e-mailed the thread owner to say she had stopped working on the game?

While it is most likely that she did abandon it, all that tag means is that the F95 rules for applying the tag were met. Unless the developer actually tells us otherwise, we have no way of knowing about any development (or lack thereof) of this game.

I know F95’s rules, I was sarcastic.

It is a shame, this game really did have some of the best art I've seen. Also why once the first artist left, the writing was on the wall.

One lesson learned, if there are NSFW games with unique art style, better find out if the dev draw the art themselves or they just outsourced it, because Art is definitely the most expensive thing when it comes to developing this kind of games, if the dev outsourced it, they need a lot of money to keep the game alive, when the money decreases, the chances they keep the game will instantly decreases too, just look at Redlolly here.

One of the most successful example, Evakiss, she drew everything, so she already cut the cost of the development by very huge margins, she even did the writing and coding too, so the least she needed is the cost of living her life every month (Buying groceries, pay rent etc.) And she done it very well and survive until now.

So, the moment we find out the dev outsourced the unique art style like Redlolly did, we need to be sceptical
