more like a first initial release, the very early stages of game. there's nothing much to it, no sex or anything just simple quest do this and that though it seems kinda promising, the character model are good, character interaction are good too, but the control need to be overhauled so much since it's very clunky.

tl;dr: it just another demo
Tech Demo 1, going off screen shots, is about the most adult of the four currently then?

Hi folks!
Yes, another tech demo! As I posted before, I'm still struggling to decide to what kind of project to commit next and this one I'm posting today is another one that I'd like to do. I have this idea of making another direct sequel for the HnS universe, using the mechanics of HnS2 (D.I.C.K system / semi-linear progression / mini-games). In this demo you can have an idea of the setting and the planned main characters. I already integrated the new UI/scripting systems from the prior demos. I also used the new version of Unity sprite mesh animation, that is amazing and much easier to handle!
So... What's the final decision?
I have two projects that I already decided to make: the 3D parody I've been posting here and this new HnS project. I'll definitely work on both of these projects at some point (if life allows me, of course) and what I need now is to decide which one go first.
I'm very interested in the challenge of the 3D game. But its core system is totally new to me and still needs work (like the movement system). If commit to it, I probably wont be able to publish releases with the usual frequency.
The HnS project would be more chill and I like the story I (kinda) planned, but it wont give that "novelty kick" that is always cool to have.
As I am sick of this doubt, I'll post a pool soon to let the patrons have the final choice.
See you soon,
Peace!

HnS4-tech-demo
I don't have a horse in this race, but if he's learning 3D stuff for the first time, maybe start with the HnS4 as the primary and work on the LIS 3D game in the background. Storywise out of the two demos, I like the LIS better for how it starts, but the controls were a little wonky. The jerkiness of going from first person mode to the bottom corner back to where I was looking was a little too much.

Hi folks!
The poll chose the parody, so let's get this thing started.
The release schedule for this project will be probably a bit different from the prior games. The universe has several interesting characters, so my initial idea is to try to work at first with parallel story lines. This means, the linear release sequence of GHR won't fit this time. I'm planning to post more "open" roadmaps and post "partial build" releases between "official" release versions. The idea is to allow you (if you wish) to follow development progress without having to wait for a properly wrapped version that will probably pop in longer intervals than in previous games.
I'm already working on some first important tasks:
- Fixing character controls: I'm ditching the predefined path control scheme for a standard first person control allowing full exploration of the environments. I was afraid that it would be too difficult to pull out, but after a few tests it doesn't seem too hard for simple environments. You'll use the classic WSAD+Mouse Look with a configurable FoV (maybe controller support later if the demand exists). It won't be a fast paced Call of Duty thing, so using a trackpad won't be so bad!
- Building first environments with first person controller support: my idea is to rebuild not only some original game environments, but also some that were only mentioned in it (like the academy men's toilet). It takes a lot of work, but it's quite fun to do!
I'll post a first partial release with these features soon !
Peace!

Hi people.
I've never played this type of game before so please don't treat this as a dumb question please.
I've managed to figure out the navigation but have reached a point (trying to give Mr Jefferson the photo) and can't seem to get any further. Tells me that the quest will continue from there. Is this the end of the current content?
Could one of you kind souls please assist. TIA

It is. These were tech demos from the dev to test out a couple things they're working on. The Architect (dev's name) has created a few games already, most recently Goons Raid Her, a parody of the Tomb Raider games. His previous titles are the 3 games in the Hack'n'Stalk (HnS) series. Very good games, worth checking out.

I thank the dev for their effort and hard work, but can we please have a little more overview text? For many of us, it's the main window into what the game intends to become. In any case, good luck and cheers!

I hope this game will have custom builder on how your character will look in the game, that would be so awesome an unique from any other Life Is Strange parody game that will come out!

Another Life is Strange parody with us playing Mr Jefferson I take it. Meh, I'll stick with Strange Nights.
I've played both, and while I love strange nights too, they're both unique. This is a first person game, it looks like it'll potential be a little open world too, whereas strange nights is more of a reading game without additional features. I feel quite spoilt now that we have 2 life is strange games, and both are top quality

please try to make sure that the dialogues do not move across the screen and the player has a place to click with the mouse (I constantly touch the dialogue, where I do not poke, everywhere I get into the dialogue and choose what I did not want to choose)
