My only (minor) issue with the story was that I was allowed to progress to the final scene where I am given a choice as to who should die, whether its my roomate or Delilah. This was in a playthrough where I barely even knew Delilah, and we hadnt even kissed.I just wanna say thank you for the feedback you’ve all given me. I read every single comment and review, and they’re very helpful to me. Even the negative ones, I understand that it’s my game that’s causing your frustration. Believe me, I’m trying my best to fix the problems you mentioned, but I’m just one person doing the best that I can.
I knew that my last update would turn away many people from my game. A few of my long time patrons have even left because it, but it had to be done for the story and progression of the characters. I’m creating the kind of story that I would find enjoyable and I guess, we all have different tastes.
I’m no writer. Never even thought I could be one, but now I love writing. I’m reading and analysing a lot of screenplays. I still suck at it, but hopefully I’m getting a little better. Writing the dialogues is now one of my favourite parts of the entire process. Please, let me know your honest opinions about my game. Don’t be afraid to hurt my feelings. Trust me, truth hurts, but you are helping me get better
Why did the game assume that we are really close? Why do I care about her as much as I do for Kaylie or my Roommate???
Please make it so in the next update, the player isnt allowed to progress to that scene, and put a "Complete more of Delilah's storyline" message in the quests screen, so that the player realizes they need to complete more quests in order to reach that stage of the game.
As it stands, when I reached that final scene, it definitely felt like end-game content, at least for version 0.9, and it also felt like I wasnt supposed to be seeing that content, given that I hadnt done anything with Delilah. Really, Delilah and the MC shouldnt have had feelings for each other, and it should have been an easy choice, something I am sure you (the creator) did not intend for.
I also felt I missed stuff with Delilah, and that feeling was confirmed after I loaded a previous save and advanced her storyline.
I believe that this final scene is not only crucial/important to the story, but it adds something that other games in this genre cant offer. Your game feels significant, ambitious, deep, at least for a "porn" game, so to speak.
You have good reason to be proud of your work so far, but its just unfortunate that some of this hard work (especially your excellent writing) is let down by not considering the different paths and focus on character storylines that each of us (the users) might take.
Personally, I wanted to finish my Roommate's and Kaylie's storylines, BEFORE I proceed with Delilah's, and that ultimately was what lessened the impact that this final scene is supposed to have.
Please understand, these little things can actually hurt the playthrough experience quite a bit, they heavily affect how the player is supposed to feel, especially with the amazing dialogue that you deliver in the final scene, and the many revelations that the player gets.
One last thing: When I loaded my previous save, going back in order to advance the story with Delilah, why does she get pregnant? I made sure not to cum inside her, so that shouldnt have happened. I think that there is the implication that there was more sex with her but I didnt see it, and it involved impregnation?
That one didnt really make much sense, but I thought that maybe I was supposed to choose "cum inside" as she was egging me on?
Not quite sure here.
Thank you, and keep up the great work!
