"Priority Poll" was all good and dandy (why I didn't pay much attention before), but then we got the Chip "Design Poll" - and mark my word, it won't stop here.
As I mentioned before, There should be a "Line" How much Patreon / Commission can affect the game in development, And the Dev should always be in charge of the direction.
Many games already being ruined cuz they are ruled by money (not porn game exclusively) - mind you, only game-wise, financial-wise they are doing great.

I've played tons of porn games so my experience might differ.
One of the reason LO is great and unique, is the Alien Designs. And it seems it start to lost its sparkle.
It's just a shame. But at least some people are happy about the game, good for them.
I'll take your word for it, I haven't been really been following that many projects to tell if content polls are bad sign or not. But so far LO hasn't given me a reason to panic.

That's literally "do NOT like furry contents". From the perspective of someone like all kind of contents equally (not favour furry nor non-fur), Caleb is one of my fav in LD, cuz He resembles all the good feature of a doggo - passionate, loyal, cute, simple, and overly "friendly".
Is Hakkon the weapon smith? Then we literally hvn't got anything for him yet.
Yeah, I guess as far as strictly furry characters go (Arion, Caleb), they aren't really my favorites. As you say, Caleb can have an appealing personality, but all the actual canine physical features and the genitals are a big turn-off.

And yeah, as the other poster said, Hakkon is the alien creature that is just naked muscles and penis-finger-tentacles.

You assume the developer is being forced to cater to the whims of the people against his volition. For all we know, he probably did this on purpose to capitalize on it. Many of these patreon and early-access projects are what I like to call "rent-a-dev", where you basically pay money in order to have a product tailored to your tastes. The dev pitches in the basic idea while you steer the rest of development. If nothing else, this serves to engage with the community and keep them interested in the project.

The point is, nobody forced the dev to go down this path. There is some benefit to making your project public; it allows you to gauge interest and troubleshoot things faster. The caveat is that it can lead to people becoming a little too invested in its direction and wanting to change things to cater their tastes. The industry has... hmm... let's say "spoiled" people a bit, in that regard. In the past games were developed behind locked doors and nobody knew what they were getting until it released.

Nowadays, mainstream industry has been pressured into catering to every crowd imaginable in order to maximize profit and avoid releasing a product people dislike. And this trend has trickled down to indie games as well. Ideally, there should be a balance between involving the community and independent creativity. Easier said than done though...

I feel that this type of development, the one where you let your supporters choose on everything, is good in the short term but bad in the long haul. Sure, you'll get a good chunk of loyal supporters that will follow you for the time being, but you are unlikely to attract new fans since their choices won't matter.

More so, if the developer isn't willing to even chose the look of one of the main characters by themselves, the game will probably lose its direction more and more as time goes on. I don't want to be a mood breaker, but that's a recipe for reaching a fast burnout.

Where does this "Dev is Forced" come from, he literally did it himself and it's his choice to go down this path.
Yes maybe afterall the dev just want to do human concentric contents, And I just got the wrong impression.
But "Commission" is different from "Game development", the former is a one-off thing, the latter is a whole package. If you fragmenting the contents, you will just get fragments. That's also why there are so few finished good porn games.
The sad thing is many (especially porn) devs are more keen to your "rent-a-dev" method, they are basically just providing a service.
The peak example are those gatcha games, you basically pay (Crazy amount of) money for porn, monthly - they are not so different from those porn art package Patreons.

Listen to feedback is good, but when you let your Patreon to decide the contents - you will at best get some nice arts, never a good game.
The mass all want different things / the mass don't know what they want, as a game dev it's your job to create / deliver something based on your vision.
A good game can stand against time, while good porn will be flushed out and no one will even remember them, and people will eventually get bored of the project - you can basically look at any project that developed more than 5 years and see what state they are in now.

But again maybe these devs only want to make a living by providing such "service", there's nothing wrong with it.
It's just not a "gamer" such as myself want.
That's the frustration from a gamer, in the envirement of "Modern gaming"(tbh let game become commission is not even on the top list).

No, Alastor is the weapons smith. Hakkon is the alpha alien who can be recruited from the sewer mission on Akra. He's obsessed with breeding.
And yeah, as the other poster said, Hakkon is the alien creature that is just naked muscles and penis-finger-tentacles.
No shit, I love that guy, that's one of the fine example of LO's amazing Alien design.

I think I've found a bug.
Talked to Samuel, found the Galactic Union Missions thing, sent people off on missions, wandered around doing other stuff, went to the laboratory and found the "The Warlord" option for talking to Arthur was lit up again. It repeated the whole conversation about whether I was planning to kill it and how I was going to need more soldiers.

Additional thing about the missions: "Demanding pleasures" looks like it was meant for the player character. All available crew members are in the -9% to +22% range. Is it possible to go on the mission in person? Is it meant to be?

One more: completed a mission and got the bonus reward of 5 basic armour and 5 basic weapons, and there was a pop-up saying "5 weapons: basic removed." Not much of a reward if that's true!

I'm sorry to be the one that breaks those news to you, but you are wasting your breath here, you have better chances to get those bugs fixed by contacting the dev himself, which does not reside here.
Try his twitter:
Or discord group:
Btw, alpha 18 version was out 2 days ago, so some of the bugs could be fixed already.

Wait a minute a ver 18 is already out? Bring changelog in chat then
The dev releases an alpha version for the highest patreon tier a week or two before the other tiers get the full release. It's basically the highest payers getting to play through the new content early while doing a bunch of beta-testing and bug catching for the dev in return.

where do i get the dark crystal?
Initially, by wandering around the subway system in Arak. There are those Sub Guh Nir aliens there. Defeat one to get a corrupted crystal.
Once you've resolved that situation, if you spare the alpha's life and recruit him, you can feed him the pure energy crystals to get more of the corrupted ones.

The other dark thing you might need as an ingredient is Graul scales. Go across the sandy sand to the ruins, wander around there, meet a Graul, defeat it and find some scales.

how do i start Rylan relationship? i wanna be his slave
Like in real life try talking to him and choose "submissive" dialogue options. Lower your crew respect points. You can also choose your role on a relationship screen.
