I don't understand the people complaining about large filesizes, 16gb is large sure, but it's also like 1 hour of watching a 4k movie on netflix. It's 2022, a 1tb hard drive costs like 20 euro. If you care so much about it, sub to their patreon and let your voice be heard. Otherwise, it's just massive Karen vibes.

10 new animations isn't much for this game, considering how many there are per proper sex scene. Think I'll pass. I'm guessing it's a Christmas special?
It's a "0.5" update. Not a full episode. It's a way for them to squeeze more money out of people instead of just adding it to the next "full episode."

Before every release was a "full episode" then "full episode" then "full episode."
Now "full episode" then "0.5" then "full episode" then 0.5"

I think it's just weird because nobody really really needs image quality that high. You can get away with decent compression in the 85% to 90% (if you're shooting for higher quality), and still present a very high quality image/resolution. I really don't think there's a world right now where 16.6 GB of uncompressed or super high res images is necessary.

Like is someone projecting this on a theatre screen? Almost everyone is playing these resolutions that are fairly average. Like who is it serving? I mean, make the super uncompressed high res an option for download sure. But the main file presented by the developer should be a reasonably compressed version.

Nobody fucking cares about a 8k porn visual novel. You're not making fucking Avatar.

in canada, at least my province, if you don't live in the one of the few cities, there is pisspoor internet options available. where i live, there are 2 options. one is a 1MB/s download speed, and the other is a 2MB/s download speed, and cost 70-100 dollars a month. and the faster option has a cap of 350GB/month (those are advertised speeds, you never actually get them. usually 0.8MB/s, and 1.6MB/s)
roughly two hours - 2.5hrs to download the entire file every single time, whereas an update patch would be so much easier

i can't speak for everyone, but there are people from many different places that don't have access to fast, un-capped usage internet.

what you said just sounds a bit ignorant to be honest

I would suggest you look into Starlink internet service, most of Canada is covered unless you are in the central band that is supposed to be covered next year. It's not the cheapest, but it's pretty fast for satellite internet, and I don't think it has data transfer caps either.

Please don't make us canadian appear as igloo living lumberjack. I live in a midsize town relatively near the border (as you should be, otherwize you have nobody else but you and your parents to blame for low access to things) and I got average 7mb/s unlimited. My mother who live in a village got 14mb/s (which I don't understand why).
Tho I agree the price is way to much.

It sucks that you don't have better internet options but what do you expect really? This game has always been huge. Most AAA games on steam are now 50gb+. If you can't download it, you can't download it. Your only option is to wait for a compressed version.

Realistically speaking, do you expect the developers to put out a far smaller version just so that pirates can download it easier? What you should really be mad at is the ISPs in your region that insist on policies from the 90s (bandwidth caps) and your local politicians that aren't pressuring them to provide better internet service.

The torrent I provided has 2 gigabit servers located in Canada by the way, so at least you've that option going for you.
