Ren'Py Lustful Desires [v0.74.1] [Hyao]

Some of you might have already seen those as I'm posting it more regularly on the Discord server (Which at this point is more reliable way of getting news about the development - if you can I would suggest joining and connecting your patreon with discord to have access to all the rooms. If not... I will try to show extra stuff here as well, but there's a chance it won't be everything).

Most of the new art won't show up in 0.74 just yet. It's something we are preparing for 0.75 at least with 0.74 being a build up for it.

The desert will be located close to the dwarven town (which will be unlocked in 0.74, but not accessible yet. Making a whole town requires a lot of work and I would want to have at least some art assets for it. It was easier to go for the desert, as Brimscorch will be helping me with developing the area).

So we will have the background (Made by Gavel) for the first location which is just a basic desert. It will connect you to the croc village (The one from which Talon is. You won't need to progress Black Wolf events to actually unlock this part).

Then we have the kobolds (Made by Narram) who are going to be main enemies on the desert. The little guys will show up pretty fast, with the big boys being prepared for later.

Lastly there is the orc (Made by Passerby) who is no one else than Orak, our lovely Tanner from Iron Blood Clan.

Last thing - a little heads up - this month update may be rather late. I'm trying my best to finish everything, but... let's just say the last few weeks weren't easy. Which starts to sound like a constant excuse I'm making recently. My biggest apologize for that.

So they upgraded the Logo, quite fitting, and a good sign shows they mean business

Also really feel like I can't appreciate Narram's monster designs enough. They are so interesting, visually appealing, with creative details and extremely sexy .

Those Kobolds are going to ruin my life in the best way possible

Hyao is mostly adding Main Story content, so 95% of the time is not lewd content. Other contributors like Virile are focusing on the lewd part of the updates. Artists like StanG and Narram are helping in filling the emptiness that Zoroj left (I don't know the reason why he left), by illustrating some npcs and itens.

So far, we have new content for Barrel and Caleb, a new Orc called Maul who is a dommy bastard, Everett got a new lewd scene with the MC and a new scene with the Rhot, which was supposed to have a continuation but until now, nothing. That's all I can remember.

Off the top of my head, there's also a lot of the Black Wolf stuff that's been continued (which also "previews" a new character), and is seemingly close to at least somewhat of a conclusion for the quest line.

So nothing much, I guess. makes sense because Hyao put way too many eggs on one basket and couldn't juggle. kind of a pain in the ass for me since I got into this game because of Zoroj. StanG's art is very on par with his characters, I definitely see why Hyao hired him. Narram on the other hand... look, I don't dislike his artwork, is that when he is put in as one of the main artist, people are going to compare to his work with Zoroj. and it took me way too long for me to grow on him since. THB all I really want is some clarity invoving with his discontinuation with the project, but I guess that will never happen.

but really, is there anything significant happen (both story rise and region) during the past few years since Hyao focus on the main story?

Female is never the focus, It's like an afterthought as the Bottom MC bias very convenient for addin' a female MC.
But The Hero (Top) / Slut (Bottom) fame system falls off very quick, and it really feels stupid at this point.

In a perfect world,
If you Play Hero (Top), you beat shit out of enemies, and choose to fuck whomever you want whenever you like. (This is likely what the other "Strictly Top player" wish to happen)
If you are faithful Logan, you should have more Logan in your life.
Only when you play Slut (Bottom), NPCs start to take initiatives.
(Not sure about female tho since LD is a male focused game after-all).

BUT the fact is, you are gutter yourself of loads of contents if you are not playing a bottom MC.
Even when there's rare Top MC elusive, you can just drink a top potion to see the scenes, without changing any dynamics at all.

Unfortunately, this is Never (and will Not become) that game.
And IMO it already has way better meaningful variety than most other games. Many NPCs hv rich characters, dynamic personalities, interesting interactions, and many are not player-sexual / or just another cookie-cutter sex machine.
(Not sure where's your "Many hv super macho man attitude and alpha male personality" comes from, there's literally only a few)

Oh that's epic to hear. I missed a large proportion of the game because I played mostly top.

We are picking up the pace recently, as it seems Hyao and the team hv found their footing.
There was a time its really rough for them (after ZoroJ left), new members (Especially Narram) had a hard time to fit in (when he tries to mimic ZoroJ).

BUT, Narram Does amazing Job On all these monster designs, In fact, Narram draws way better than ZoroJ in this area, especially considering ZoroJ really didn't do many Monster designs.
And All artists are drawing what they are good at, this will only improve the over-all quality.
Tho the style inconsistency will forever be a problem, It's more or less kept the synergy so nothing feels really off.

At this point, I don't think " filling the emptiness that Zoroj left" is fair to all the other artists anymore.
Tho I understand some of you are big ZoroJ fan that's still disappointed, he's long gone history by now.

Edit: I forgot, if you play mostly top, then you will still find it's less satisfying

Narram was added at a time where Hyao literally had no artists to work with when ZoroJ dropped off the project. He did a few of the humanoid characters and definitely knew his work wasn't popular. Glad to see he's doing more of the beast/monster art cause it seems more like he fits there and he's best with that sort of subject anyway.

I feel like it's a mash between Groth and Dulrig. But I'd say it's better than Torben, but that's just me.

Debatable, this Orc rly gives off an uncanny feeling, and the "Hunchback"muscle really killed it for me.
IMO Passerby is kinda the weak-link, IIRC his arts either give off the "Bland" / "Cheap knock-off" vibe, or there'll be something really off.
And yeah Torben is also not good, in fact, none of Narram's human(oid) arts are good, as he's moving away from it.

Tho don't get me wrong, saying "not good", they are still way better than average gay porn game out there.
