I really don't know. As far as I'm concerned it only involves any appearance of minors in a game, in any shape or form, no matter if they appear as an NPC background character for one second.

To this point I'd rather not risk it. It's not the first time they change rules out of the blue and we can't know if it was the last time.

And it sucks, we actually had something planned for Lilith.

We had in mind Lilith being a mother and reveal the daughter later on (one of the reasons she's so sleep deprived). We totally threw it to the trash bin after those policy changes.

Well that fucking sucks. The idea sounds really nice and gives her interesting character depth, so fucking annoying that you have to deal with these rules

Most likely nope. After Patreon's addition of new rules I decided to remove any plans related to impregnation.
God knows what other rules they could implement out of the blue.

Its ongoing issue with Patreon for many years.
Unfortunately Patreon is only half to blame as the issue is with larger Payment services like MC or Visa.
Over the years many platforms that had Adult stuff had issues with them.
That's why many devs release "soft" versions of their game on Patreon (etc.) and then post free patches on different sites (for full content).

You don't know enough about the lore yet. Something has stolen the memory of male witches but the instincts women have about men are still active apparently. It could be a eldritch horror. It could be the light elves and their obsession with converting people to not use magic. Could be whatever Maeve really is.

Men might have existed in this world until a month ago. There's also something about why Annie doesn't know she's a succubus (or do all demons emit horny pheremones in this world)

That may or may not work in hatchet's case, depending on how anal Patreon wants to be about this and if they would react to off-site content.

If the depiction of a minor in any context is right out (impregnation and pregnancy seems to be allowed so long as you never show the resulting baby), then maybe the plot could be reworked into caring for a young animal? Similar themes but less likely to cause a stink from Patreon.

Hopefully, a solution can be found because it sounds like a lot of interesting plots were planned around pregnancy, and it would be a shame if they were all cut due to Patreon being morons.

I feel with the current talk of character designs changing mid-development, that I should point out that a character changing their appearance three, four, even five times during the development is not abnormal, even in VNs. For example, Emi in Katawa Shoujo changed her appearance like three times during the development of that project, including a full-on change of artist. Saber from Fate/Stay Night had several design changes, one of which included a penis. Mercy from Overwatch was two different characters at one point!

I don't think it's fair to accuse Hatchet of milking the game just because they changed designs partway through. That shit happens all the time. Most of the design changes in AAA games just aren't visible to people outside the development cycle because they aren't Early Access.


My take on it is that Hatchet should be happy with the character designs. If that means changing them, fine. I, personally, think the designs we currently have are more than sufficient, especially considering the competition, and redesigning the characters is not a particularly fruitful use of time. However, it is certainly not scamming or a distraction - considering most of the time on the latest update was likely spent in code or writing considering the tens of thousands of words also added - and if Hatchet feels it's necessary, he's the fucking dev and I intend to shut up and color.

If Dwarf Fortress can spend literal decades in active development using fucking ASCII glyphs, Maeve's Academy can afford two or three months every year or so updating character designs and artwork. Something tells me Hatchet is not planning on including eyelash simulation for Maeve's blink cycle.

I've talked this with users on discord. There's a high chance I'll give a current love system a little gimmick.

Long story short, as story goes on, you have the freedom to get off-story events with a girl that will lead to sex at some point, as long as you increase love points with her, but I don't want to make any grinding here. I'll need to think of better ways to execute the idea here.

I might put a warning when these events come to let the player know a vaginal sex scene is coming.

Dialogue will have little changes depending on the girl you decide to spend your first experience with (and just with this girl) to make it more special. Agnes enjoyers will have a good time here, we all know what kind of stuff she's saying.

I had to uninstall the game, my characters where have white clothes when they are not supposed to. This has happened to some other renpy games I've played so I know my phone can't support it anymore so I'll wait till I fix my laptop to play.
