Poor English, Bad hint system and mechanics, this needs some serious work. Gotten all the papers but only 2 show up in the backpack. Not to mention solved the electronic puzzle for the door but will not let you leave the screen. I will wait for a better version down the road....

Started the game, loaded my last save, sent MC downstairs and watching tv scene started. Got to the where Bob says "Time for bed" or something like that and then I get - While running game code:
File "game/Places/Mechanic/Mechanic.rpy", line 2567, in <module> NameError: name 'quest_log' is not defined
Extracted the script.rpy and found this line - quest_log = []. What should it say here?

I downloaded the new version and besides the fact that I hate the MC's new look, it seems the issue with the intro's awful text is still there. Also, YOU STILL AREN'T TOLD OR GIVEN A HINT TO LOOK AT THE PAPERS TO FIGURE OUT THE POWER SWITCH SEQUENCE. You need to not only think "oh, maybe i need to find C#/R# in the text of these documents", but also realize that the order is based on the dates. Very creative, but as I said before it still doesn't make sense for the switch to be related to medical papers and what is worse is that it is up to the player to guess everything.

So far the only "rework" i see in this intro sequence is adding a bunch of wordy non-sense dialogue from the MC that I can resume in a few sentences: I'm so bored in this place. Mother never lets me talk to others or go anywhere alone. I must always be with her and she gets really mad if I ask about dad... Maybe I can find clues about him while she is gone.

Oh, and that you're forced to watch a boring porn video of the doctor before you can leave the lab. Not even dialogues to make the video interesting and can't even skip it.

Well, at least the stuff after the escape is better now. No pointless probing around by the driver (since she didn't care about the lies in the old version anyway) and no murderer-like-creepy couple instantly inviting an unknown boy to be their son two sentences after meeting him. It makes more sense now to just offer him a job and then have the wife insist on giving him at least a roof. (except you didn't fix the dialogues of Bob referring to him as his son)

That first scene watching TV is really dumb though, he's apparently shocked about getting a boner because he's hugged but then he just decides to put his hand on her leg? I can forgive the bad english but the script itself doesn't make too much sense.

Edit: Ah, i forgot to mention something last time: Please, don't make interactive places only to show "Check it out next update" because I won't bother clicking all 100+ spots like that every update. If there isn't content there yet, don't highlight it, just mention it in your changelog when it actually gets content added.

UGH at those minigames. Why would cleaning the table need a timer or have the plates randomly move around? It's already a pain in the ass that you're locking progress with a girl behind helping someone else who only wants helps specific days. Why add awful mechanics on top?

Whats with these game modes? Especially this "The game experience may change". I honestly hate it when devs take this approach and make it cryptic...

Am I missing content if I don't choose expert mode? Does it just mean that it'll be more difficult? Please for the love of god be clear with these things, the last thing I want is to get a headache before i'm even playing the game.
I believe it probably refers exactly to what it describes under the option, the experience may change since you won't have tips or the ability to skip puzzles.

After you solve that puzzle you have to click the green SWITCH word to the left of the pop up. Only then will you be sent back to the lab.

As they said, this new version reworked the intro and changed stuff in the early scenes, and added a small quest window. It probably sets a flag that isn't present in your old save and that's why it broke.

Thank you for your comments everyone
In the next version, we will have changes according to the mentioned comments, and also part of the artwork will be reworked.

Expert Mode is for those who want to do all the puzzles and parts of the game using their intelligence and without hints, but you will not miss any content.

All puzzles in this version have a cheat mode button to skip them, which is normally disabled and has been removed altogether in Expert Mode. In normal mode, you can enable or disable this option from the options after choosing the game mode everywhere of the game.

Just done with this update, I must say I love this reworking on the map and hint system a lot because it was easier to track and checking hint than before. Not just that but the characters rework too, they look a bit better than before and I can't wait to see more updates in the future (would love it more if the next one was focus on Kate, I really love her and wish to finally have some sex scenes with that Mom)
I think the only complain I would give this game would be you need to give the players a skip and roll back button when you got into some replay scenes, or the ability to smash the Enter or space bar to faster the dialogues conversation and it would be good

Will normal mode let us skip the minigames?

Then why say that it may change your experience at all? The differences between the modes are already listed so explicitly saying this will affect your experience as the first descriptor implies more than it just being harder.

Yes! But you need to turn on the minigames skipping in the Option on the menu, or else you can't skip it
Hallelujah, hated having to keep doing that stupid dish sorting minigame in earlier release to raise affection with the mom.

I reckon someone should put a "old saves don't work" message on page 1 of this thread then.

My point is that your players wouldn't need to enable a cheats button and skip your content if it was properly designed in the first place. Otherwise what's the point in having the puzzles in the first place? As I said, point-and-click adventures rely on logic and reasonable deductions, not vague "clue windows" or misplaced races against the clock (seriously, why would cleaning up the table be timed with plates teleporting randomly?)

I know my posts may seem too harsh but that's because I got a very bad impression from the get go with your puzzles. And you can even see some people in this forum couldn't even leave the lab at all because of that.

Some players like to solve puzzles and some do not. We have given this choice to the player
Simply solve the puzzles if you like, if not skip them.
To do this, we have conducted a survey among players, the results of which you can see in this thread:
https://f95zone.to/threads/which-style-of-game-do-you-like-hard-puzzles-or-skipping-puzzles.69750/
This is the reason for the kitchen puzzle:
If we stack the dishes from large to small, they are less likely to spill and break. :D

Feel free in commenting on us dude, We must know your opinions.
Thank u so much
we put a cheat mode button for peoples who don't like to do puzzles

I stayed in the room but he asked me to see the mother's pc
Click the pc, click the power button, then the Folders icon, then the blue hdd to the left, then the 2nd video, since it requires a password close (X) the folders, then turn off the pc, then click the arrow back, then look at the shelf to the right of the computer to find the password and repeat the steps to watch the video.
