Is it me or girls are little bit ugly? at least start of a game

Well, it is one way to put it bluntly and it is purely based on how you define beauty.

The women depicted on this game are of various personalities and walks of life that are mainly do not have the similar physical attributes and features than most other games here (most of which you are familiar with I guess). Most other (VN) games usually potray overwhelmingly majority (if not all) virgins with 'to die for' tits and asses, and the MC objective is to 'pop the cherry' so to speak. Not the theme of this game, and you most likely view the women in this game less attractive (at least physically) compared to those virgins.

I would say odd instead of ugly. I find their face proportions and structure disconcerting and at certain angles it throws me off, like seeing a face not entirely human.

Ok, that is upon Honey Select (perhaps version 2 ) and the mods that are being used. It is personal opinion and assessment I guess (nothing wrong with that) and probably most will agree with your assessment too. It is not as visually vibrant and stunning as some other VNs, that I do agree with.

Personally, I do not care that much about the visuals/renders of the games that I play, including this.

That's from a time when I didn't have much experience with HS2's character creator. I personally think I got a lot better, and some of the new characters created later in the game are much better looking. I think older characters also look better in the more recent updates, because I tweaked their appearance slightly and learned to do better lightning. This is my first project and I learned everything entirely from scratch. I like to think I'm getting better, but others will probably be a better judge of that.

I guess it is because this is Raybae first attempt at developing games, those earlier renders are a bit off I guess and just as Raybae replied, things do get better. I guess if he has the resources and time later on, he could remaster the older/earlier scenes for the final release (just should not do it now but rather progress the story at steady pace).

Im confused.. wasn't there a very similar game with the same girls in it?, It was about making your mother's model career succesful and you take adavantage of her and somehow convince her to do porn and also blackmailing your aunt.

(My speculation is) That story arc will probably continue in the future, which makes a lot more sense because for the current version, MC went back to his 'hometown' with the reporter/journalist (forgot her name) to investigate the sexualt assault allegation against him.

Not sure why you are confused? The renders were made using HoneySelect2 so they weren't exclusive to any particular game or developer, although the developer can tweak/mod the characters to look 'unique' but inherently the models are of HoneySelect2. The story is different, the game name and thread are also different (although I have no idea what game you mentioned).

I personally think I got a lot better, and some of the new characters created later in the game are much better looking.

As someone who almost stopped playing off the bat because none of the early renders appealed to me, later renders and character additions are definitely much better.

Have you considered redoing some of the earlier ones? Like Yumi would probably look much better with a thinner face.
