Ah, actually I had this problem too, it seems to be a case when the game is traying to search the save file in the folder, but since the game saves inside folder with japanese letters and because my PC tried to create the folder with Japanese letters but didn't had the language pack to properly do it, ended creating a folder with random symbols creating a conflinct with the game system making it unable to find the proper folder.is anyone else having issues saving? I click on save but nothing happens the slot in which i saved does have the little red box showing i saved but the slot itself is empty
Huh. That worked for me when it came to extracting... but opening the .exe for the games does nothing. Tried both with my and Japanese locale, normal and administrator, and with Locale Emulator. So much trouble...Hey guys, I use Win 11 too and I couldn't open my game, I used the locale emulator and tried to open A1, A2, etc. and none of them opened (and my antivirus is disabled), but I found out what was happening.
My game wouldn't open because when extracting the files, the names of some important files changed (the EXE files and some PAC files). What I did to fix it was very simple: I changed the region of my computer to Japan (which is the normal recommendation for playing visual novels), but I DELETED the game files (because they came with the wrong names), and EXTRACTED THEM AGAIN, but with my PC already in the Japanese region (so that the files would come with the correct names in Japanese), and then the files were extracted with the correct name, and it opened fine.
I even changed the region back to normal and used the locale emulator and it worked too (only A3 doesn't open with the locale emulator here, the rest open normally, maybe for A3 in particular to work, I had to change the region to Japan or it was because I moved the file, I don't know exactly what happened).
Anyway... this was interesting because it made me realize that it is necessary to change to the Japanese region from the beginning, in the installation part and even in the extraction part to avoid errors in these visual novels.
i mean i have both locale emulator and remulator and while it did fix the spacing and missing characters in game that appeared as ''.........'' it still ain't letting me save, so i've no idea what i'm missing, it's not even creating a folder it just acts like a save was made without anything actually happeningAh, actually I had this problem too, it seems to be a case when the game is traying to search the save file in the folder, but since the game saves inside folder with japanese letters and because my PC tried to create the folder with Japanese letters but didn't had the language pack to properly do it, ended creating a folder with random symbols creating a conflinct with the game system making it unable to find the proper folder.
>Installing and running the game with "Locale Emulator" solved the issue for me.
If you click the exe multiple times in a row without locale emulator, it will open but the problem for me is that the font is not working properly even tho it's already installed. So did anyone figure out how to run the .exe files?
I'm on windows 11 and I've tried changing it to Japan locale, using a locale emulator, and changing the program names.
Even compatibility to change it to windows 7.
Still nothing.
Any help would be appreciated!
I've found a way. I had to change language locale to Japan, then making an exception in the Firewall for every .exe of A1-5, and putting them all on compatibility to Windows 7. Then, and only then, I could open them. But if I change back locale to my own language, it no longer works, with or without locale emulator. So did anyone figure out how to run the .exe files?

So I managed to get the game working sometimes. I basically did everything that banananos said plus restarted my computer, which allowed me to launch A-5 and A-4 once after clicking through some menus. But in order to open the game again any time afterwards, it's RNG as to if my 3rd restart will do it.So I've also been trying to get this to work, and for the life of me I couldn't figure out why. I ran the file check and finally decided to stop using 1 brain cell and use 2 and whip out google translate since apparently there's an error of sorts. The error I got was regarding corrupted files and it's all the .exe files. I've tried redownloading and using the advice of others, especially Tenshura's, to no avail.
I did the Krazy Zebra method but i still wont open on first try, even with locale emulator.Regarding playing the game, try either of these methods:

khaosmaou's post: https://f95zone.to/threads/majikoi-...edition-a1-a5-minato-soft.90936/post-13756766
I've had success with Zebra's post by both doing what he says in the post and sometimes clicking on the shortcut I made several times to get it to open. I have not tried khaosmaou's solution extensively, but have also put it here in case people have issues with Krazy Zebra's post. Also, if possible, please put links to these two posts on the front page, so people can see it and not have to go digging. Let people like me be the only one to suffer that XD
Good for you. I was having trouble opening it with a first try, but once i had the shortcuts set up, spamming them gets them to open for me. Plus, no weird font issues or whatnot. Sure it's a pain to close the extra error tabs, but I think that's a small price to pay.I did the Krazy Zebra method but i still wont open on first try, even with locale emulator.
Ok, i think they're working now on mostly first time, no need for shortcut.
I can't save for some reason
Edit: Managed to fix it by changing the names of the .exe and .pac to the japanese ones and running it with Locale Emulator
