Just here to give my praise and high recommendation for this series. This is one of my absolute favourite VN's. I have followed the translation progress of this series one game after another since the first game came out in 2009, and all these years later eagerly await the translation of A-5. Even my display pic is from these games. If you haven't played the first games, make sure to do so before playing this for some context and to understand the refrences. It's an excellent read. Plenty of great humour, great characters, likeable MC that you can still self-insert into, and it doesn't take itself too seriously. Sex scenes are top notch and the girls are smoking hot.

Also, Benkei a best.

So, the game "Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai" came out first. The anime was kind of just a very loose gag reference to what primarily happened in parts of the game, including Momoyo's route, but very much cut out a lot of the game's main story for the sake of its own. If you're into it, I'd suggest starting with the original game first, then S, THEN the A series, because the A series are like add-ons to S's content, and S was a sequel to the original Majikoi, with after-stories to the first game's endings.

At the very least, for a visual novel with a large quantity of H scenes, it has entertainment involved in its story and setting, so it's worth going through the series for that reason alone.
