That's not very helpful, so-- searching a common word in a big thread returns 50 pages, not organized by date, and I can't see any way to sort them. Is there one?

Under the ADVANCED option you can sort your search by date . Try it!

Advanced search sucks. It doesn't limit the search to this thread.

Instead, open your profile, look at preferences and change your Search Options to "Most Recent". Bam, ordered by date.

Are you using the Italian translation as there is a bug that will not let you continue using Italian in version 0.98. You need to open your save in 0.97 load up your save and change the language to English and save, now when you copy the save over to the new version it will work but sadly you will only be able to play the game in English.
The bug has been repaired for version 0.99

Yes, there will be a few more updates to MotH. As far as why you're unable to play using older saves, the only suggestion I can make is to make sure that you've moved your save over to the newer updates so you won't have to start over again.

Saves are kept in the game's "savegames" folder. So just copy that folder over to the new version and you shouldn't have any problems continuing from where you left off.

CG = computer graphics; only the renders/images from the game. You don't need to download them.

As cold_arctus pointed out, they're image/video rips from the game. They're not needed for gameplay, but you can view/watch them at your own leisure. That being said, the animated scenes will be in another folder in MotH. So you can watch them whenever you like.

The location would be "man of the house_Data\StreamingAssets".
Check any of the numbered folders in there.

That can only get done if you are having a romantic dinner at home with Claire. One of the girls will mention a sold out concert for Gemnight during dinner with all 3 girls. You would have to go to your map starting at 18:00 and walk from place to place until you find a shady guy selling tickets to the concert. Then give the girls the concert ticket the next day at 15:00 in the foyer so you can have a romantic dinner alone with Claire. Your checklist on the phone will tell you what you need to get. So do that first before you give the girls the tickets. Ashley (I believe?) will send you a selfie with the girls in Geminight.

So:

1. Have dinner with the girls to find out about the concert.
2. Walk from place to play to find the shady guy selling tickets.
3. Find all the items on your checklist.
4. Meet Ashley and Veronica in the foyer at 15:00.
5. Have romantic dinner with Claire.

When you say it won't start are you getting any kind of screen at all

You have to send her a text between 19:00 - 20:00 Saturday and Sunday
