It should be in your "notes" in the MC's phone. Most (if not all of them) need to be done in order (if you're doing the romantic dinner date at home with Claire). If need be, I can take a look at your save and see where you are at and give you some tips from there. Just post your save and I'll take a look at it for you.
I almost forgot. In order to get the tickets, you'll need to have overheard a conversation -- I believe it's either during dinner or breakfast with the girls (dinner is daily at 18:00 and breakfast is only on Saturday mornings at 09:00). One of them, either Ashley or Veronica, will mention a concert coming to town and that it's sold out.
Then go look for the shady guy at any time between 18:00 and 06:00.

About Note as a phone item, it reminds me of a few other phone apps that aren't available, at least for now in my playthrough. eg: mailbox, camera, calendar. Will these items be unlocked in some way?

No, they were never implemented. The only ones that were ever used were: the contacts list, the Messenger app, Gallery, Google, Achievements, Notes and Cheats (though Notes only got used once -- for the romantic date with Claire -- and Google was used twice, IIRC -- for searching for Neon and Claire's office). As well as the four apps at the bottom; Save, Load, Settings and Exit, respectively.

I hadn't tried this one until a couple of weeks ago. Really enjoying this game. It is soooo long. When I think I'm getting toward the end there's always something (or someone?) new. Without spoilers I've just gotten to the Masquerade Mission and I've almost completely finished the first three characters (think about future) as a couple options seem missing even though it said something about all options now being open.
If Faerin's other games are made like this one then I could see many many hours of entertainment. Yes there's a grind, but I enjoy it.
I'm making quite a bit of money in the gym, but curious if there are other places to make money besides that and the pizza place. Or is there a way to progress past level 3 (50 weights in gym). Anyone know?

I have almost $4000 I think from the gym, so not terrible I guess. I lose every time in the casino so I won't be doing too much there.

You don't need a lot of money to go through the game anyway. But for the casino, you have to win at least once the special price to get all the collectibles
(and don't forget to go with the bus just after for the 2nd collectible)
