First time poster, long time lurker. Nice to see that it has developed so well, and congrats to the developer.

I have followed this game for a while, and played 0.5.6 and 0.8.3, and now 0.9.7. So I would think I am fairly familiar with the core game mechanics. I think I have found a bug, unless I understood the game mechanics wrongly.

I have tried 0.9.7 again with a clean install, and I have reproduced the same bug. I have not altered any switches, or even used the cheats to max mood even once on this install.

At the moment I notice that my stress gauge gets locked pretty much forever (eg. for 8 hours, after watching a porn). It is really easy to go 24 hours with mood being locked, even if I do nothing to increase mood (play solitaire, watch porn etc). Thus the mood gauge seems locked for longer than it should be, probably due to a value not being updated correctly.

So for instance, if I watch porn, drink coffee, have breakfast (in that order) the stress gauge is still locked for 480 minutes, when it should be 480-15-30 = 435 minutes. Interestingly, when you hover over options (eg. study for a course on the laptop or sleep), the preview of the stat gets updated correctly (in terms of time being subtracted), when you actually take the course, the lock remains in place for the same amount of time as before.

This does not seem to be happening to the other gauges.

Another one is that the sleep gauge shows a lock after drinking coffee, but it does not display the lock time period. It does update the time for the lock correctly.

Is there any new scenes with mom if you increase her suspicion level, same goes with Ashley with her jealousy level?

Update on my bug. It seems to be caused whenever the MC goes to sleep, with the only exception so far that I have found being going to sleep in the intro. All the other instances of going to sleep (like before you can go to pick up Veronica from the police station), mess up with the gauge.

Locks on stress hardly if ever reduce (simply passing time will not reduce the duration of the lock (if I choose to wait 24 hours, the lock will be in force after that 24 hours for the same amount of time as before).

And even if I edit the savegame to remove the lock, stress will not reduce by simply passing time. Basically the only way to reduce the gauge in game then is to do something stressful, like studying (even if it will not remove the lock).

It would be nice to get some sort of clarification if this is somehow an issue just on my end, or if Faerin has made a minor error with the coding.

I have just checked this out as I had the lock on once I removed it and the timer was removed simply by forwarding time my stress went down by the hour along with all the other gauges.
If you want to post your save I can check if it happens in the same way

Because even if I use a clean install of 0.9.7, start a new game, watch some porn and then sleep, the bug is already there. Normally I am quite good with figuring out how to deal with these things, but this one has me stumped.

Yeah it is the same for me as well it remains locked leave it with me I will get back to you
