It doesn't go above 5 until you get the third special point. I just assumed it was supposed to work like that.

Hey.
Playing through using no cheats of any kind to test how much i can micromanage. And it becomes a daunting task after awhile to manage all your Sleep, Food, Hygine and Stress. Even bying a lot of boosts at the store i feel more involved with the micro management then the story. Then a question i can't fully wrap my mind around..
Should going to bed sleeping add to my stress?
I can't sometimes even do my morning chores because i wake up completely exsausted. I get you can have nightmares but this seems wrong. I would expect to always wake up rested and not have to watsh porn to feel relaxed.

Excellent points, actually I'm looking into rebalancing the stat gains/losses, but since I don't really (get to) play to game a lot
myself, I don't have a clear image of long term stat management at the moment.

So if you guys could make some suggestions (like stress reducing during sleep, I'll add that!) for making it a bit more balanced and enjoyable, I would appreciate that a lot!
These could be simple tweaks like adding more of a certain stat from a certain task/item or just adding new actions at different time slots/intervals.

For now, I'm off to bed (and wake up stressed, because I can't stop working on the game for too long) :p

Edit: just to clarify I'm looking for numbers here more than new ideas, because I would like to be able implement these soon-ish.

Balance-wise coffee is op and Overwatch needs a buff.

Maybe a way to get hygiene when the bathroom is occupied, something like washing hands in the sink.

If the coffee is fine like it is currently then the bed probably needs a buff too cause even the upgraded version isn't all that great.

Stress reduce during sleep and maby put hygiene on hold during sleep hours in bed.
I don't like the waking up with all stats at the bottom. It ruins the the feeling of a New day, new tasks and new things to do. Right now the only way to start your day on a high is waking up at 6 a'clock, take a bath, have breakfast and watsh porn. After the porn you can't do the chores because you lost you only way to get rested again. This leads to a dire chain of micro management where you can't actually go to work, do chores or keep track of Veronica and so on. And if Ashley sleeps in your room she resets timer to 8 ..

So stats and items.
Watshing TV and playing games on your computer are pretty pointless right now. They add far to little. Even with the uppgrades. Items are 1 time per day use and all of them gives a minor boost. I never use them at all. Now maby if they where basically unlimited in use but a tad more expencive to buy. They could make a diffrence. Or cheap 1 time use with a serious boost to your stat.

Overall i'd say the fun factor is about the game itself and the story. The current micro management of you stats basically just feel like something to overcome and must endure. Adding nothing to the fun factor at this point. Obvilosly with tweaks this can be solved and done right it can make the game better as it feels more realistic. Comes down ofc to what you aim the game to be about. A RL manager would probably have more stats, but have you hoestly ever played a game where the MC have to take a shi.. Sorry. Do a number 1 or 2? :eek:penedeyewink: The balance is between fun and realistic.
Off to an aswesome start and i'm sure you will find the right balance eventually. We will help you with that we can:extremelyhappy:

Just playing again for the fist time in about 6 months. I agree, increasing stress while sleeping is silly. I am also surprised that certain events that used to give you hearts no longer do. For instance, helping to do the dishes always give you a Heart for Claire, but giving her a foot rub at some point no longer does? Why is that? I'm finding the grind to be on the verge of annoying so why slow down progress even more by removing the acquisition of Hearts?

The only cheats I ever use are the lock mood stats. Then it is just a matter of doing what needs to be done with the ladies.

I think if you just reduced the gap between arousal points needed to trigger next event you could really reduce the grinding and make the game mood stats more manageable.

Instead of 5 points to the next level perhaps just two or three. This way if you miss an arousal opportunity due to the fact you didn't have the mood stats to complete it, it doesn't take more than a week to get to the next level. Part of the problem is the weekend changes schedule and it has it's own quests to deal with.

If you only needed three arousal points then you could miss two during the weekdays and still be ready to proceed to the next steps the following week.
It would also reduce some of the repetitiveness of events just to get to the next level.

Actually all events give stats to a certain max. value, after that they stop (it has always been like this, with the exception of 1 or 2 "filler" events).
Otherwise you would just do the same set of events every day and there wouldn't really be a point to adding different ones (which would make the game pretty boring in my opinion).
But I'll look into rebalancing the gains (or maybe as suggested by @Asphyx increasing them).

I see what you mean, though I have to say I'm a bit on the fence about this one.
Reducing the requirement is not really an option (as this would screw up the conditions/triggers of the enitire game), so it would have to be an increase in stat gains.
For instance: gain 2 points per action instead of 1, but somehow I would feel you lose the sense of "building" the relationship with the girls, as this would only cut down the progress time to about 30%-40%.
Then again, combined with the micro-management, this does sound like too much of a hassle.
I think one of the 2 has to change, but not both.
I'll try some stuff out and see how it works!

Hey Guys, might have been on here a couple of times, but cant find it. The game now tells the story of "Mike" living with a landlady (Claire who used to be Mom). How to get back to the way it was? Personally i dont like the whole "landlady" and "Claire" thing. Cheers!

One additional problem I am having while playing through the game. Waiting for the sprite to move through the streets of Amsterdam when walking somewhere is so tedious. You have to speed that sucker up!

I think most people on this board are already using this option by locking the personal stats through the phone.

I read all the posts and your reply to them in your post above. Seems topic got a bit mixed upp and stats with the girls is another matter all together. For me the current system with hearts, submission and arousal works flawlessly :D I wouldn't change a thing. I love that 1 task awards a heart and then stops to make you focus on the next step.
Yes it's a jump at some points with Clair for example when you need 20 arousal and you got to let her peep at you in bed or do yoga everyday. In time tho, the game will offer more events and this will make the grind feel less focused on only 1 character at the time.

Taking away all stats would be somewhat sad. But in the end peope will wanna focus on the story. So if you increased the other stats like, Strength, intellect and charisma (Obviolsy with an option to get charisma higher then 10) this will work well within the concept of the game. Some girls could require charisma to even concider a date and so on. Add a few more stats to work on if you can think of any.
A stat you raise and always get to keep adds to game progress and a general feel of (Damn i'm good)!
Micro management tends to drag you down to (Damn i'm bored)!

press CTRL same as fast chat. It speeds up walking a lot :)

Generally speaking, I find the stat management very easy (especially compared to the the first release, when locks were short). However, there are some situations that mess your stats up badly: studying, training, and working. I don't think that's a problem, because you don't need to do them constantly, but there is an annoying task-interrupting quality to the harsh maluses they give.

Originally, hygiene was the most difficult stat to manage, because the bathroom was occupied so often. In recent versions, sleep has become the most difficult stat to manage, because you only get 2-6 hours of sleep every night if you want to do both Neon and yoga. Coffee is required to get through the day (and does seem too strong for a repeatable event), while in contrast bed could maybe be a little more effective. Porn and bathing are so effective that I only touch Overwatch and showers if I need to kill time. I never sleep instead of waiting, which contributes to the sleep problem.

The consumables are weak. I could imagine using them while working, but IIRC the workplace doesn't allow for coffee breaks.
