I think the cheats broke my game. Even though I have everything maxed it doesnt let me progress, saying I need such amount of stars when I've got far more. Weird part though is I had more before and decided to use the cheats to boost past since it wasnt working. I dont know if the game was just broken to begin with or I have to complete something in the background to even continue, despite having stars. Strange game.
I only used the money cheat at the beginning, but after playing for almost 2 hours it felt like I was getting nowhere so decided to put the cheats on. Still nowhere.

I didn't expect it to be something in my save. I'll bet you aren't running the game on Windows 8. The last time this problem occurred (prior to v0.7.1) it only affected those of us using Windows 8 and it worked fine for everyone else.

Win 10 64 bit GTX 980 4MB. Btw, lose that shitty OS, and I mean that. Even Win 7 was better.
the stars are for the events /achievements . I use cheats for the moods levels because a lot of actions are available only when you are high enough in your health/mood stats
anyway hints in the phone for the girls are, for me, very helpful. Combining them with the wt I could get to all the events in the past versions
I think after you go to the roof and ask Mom to train yoga with her, she says that you have to get strength
I'm well aware of how crappy Win 8 is. But it's what my laptop came with. I'd much prefer Win 7, the best Windows OS ever. But I'm not going to pay MS to get Win 10, and I'd have to wipe my drive and reinstall all my apps and games if I wanted to install Win 7 on this laptop. Too much of a hassle.
Had animation problem previously (game doesnt crash, but the screen was pitch black).
How to fix it :
1) Proceed with the codec fix (at page 1)
2) Update your GPU.
3) Update your windows.
These 3 fixed it for me.

Man, this game is crashing all over the place. I had it lock up 3 times and had to start 7.3 save again
