I have yet to find a mouse compatibility userfriendly type system for anything older like RPGM XP and stuff. I think those games have been made touch compatible though through emulators on portable devices
I'm surprised if there were no plugins for that but well... user plugins are rather tough to find, even those which just enlarge the screen or enable text skip and those may not be installed with a mere drag-and-drop if I recall correctly. I think the biggest difficulty would be to get an overlay (that mimics at least a controller which one can click with the mouse) to actually lay over a (full screen) game.
It may even be caused by the very OS since I don't recall having that many problems with translator overlays. I'll have to note though that I roughly transitioned from VNR to textractor when I went from Windows 7 to 10. What may be possible is to emulate the emulators on a PC. Personally I only have little issue with the controls since, for he most part, only Enter is needed.
I sure wouldn't mind ports to newer RPG Makers either, although I'm always afraid that they then have to be translated by someone... since it also took me quite some time to find RPGMakerMVGame Hook patcher with EnigmaVBUnpacker. Back when I searched (I'm rarely one to ask) it was a nightmare and till this day I don't know about the new MZ, I may be lucky to have not find a MZ work I wanted to play.
They had multi-route in dark elf (and for the most part iirc each game had multiple endings)!
Well, the entire 'Pure', 'Sadist' or 'Masochist' (the latter two with possibly further corruption) routes ain't new anymore, I admit. I just meant to differentiate that ancient title which rather only had different endings. Which wouldn't be quite true either since the scenario diverges there. Those we now know simply have more distinct routes one can enter early and may leave.
