I have written the introduction for the crime hints and clues system yesterday, therefore I can say "yes, something like that will be in the game".
To make it short: You have to find hints/clues on a crime scene. You decide which hints/clues you will report to the chief/detective. If there are more than 1 suspect you have to think about whom you will go for as Jade Shadow. Don´t go to often for the innocent ones.
As a player or as a developer you normally think about the necessary things in a game. For example "scat" in Green Shadow. Was it necessary? - not really, did I like it? - absolutly not, would the game have been better without out? - I don´t think so.
At this point, as a developer, I would say in "Alterverse" there will be no scat scenes, because I personally dislike them. But what might happen, if somebody really likes the game and offers me some money for a "necessary" scat scene. Should I say no, because I dislike it? Should I say no, because other players might dislike it or feel offended? Or should I take the money and feel proud about making at least someone happy for a moment?
Okay, this project is not really about money, but I hope you can follow my thoughts. There will ever be some very specific audience, which hope for their fetishes to be represented. Like you hoping for nice fight scenes, I like wet clothes, but feel bored, if it is just ordinary clothes in the shower/tub videos.
I totally respect the developers for their time, effort and creativity who get their jobs done with all the critics from all sides and I can understand why they have sometimes some questionable scenes in their games.
But as a player I can also understand when someone says "This has been a good game, but it turned to extreme".
Sorry, if I lost the track a little
