I hit a barrier with my catholic standing, atleast without converting.
I don't really want to do that, because I have multiple wives in that playthrough.

Really want to unlock the higher tiers of the monastery though, great way to park fresh girls to get them decent starting stats.

Is there a cheat for standing, or do I have to wait for a newer version where you can max out standing even without being christian?
The faction got overhauled, it's no longer just a place that you can take over and turn into a cash cow through donations.

Apparently Aesir is getting overhauled next, and other factions to follow.

You really don't like figuring things out by yourself now do you.

It's a recurring event, you always have the option to "exterminate" the cat, but if you leave it be, after a while it will add to your guard value, there's nothing outside the end day event.
It is a way

Sorry for seeming to need help with so many things. I started playing the game a few days ago and I keep trying new things... but sometimes I get a little carried away and end up asking on the forum.

It's alright don't mind me, I'm just mean with a bad temper, terrible at being friendly really.

the game as a lot of content, but if I dare to say, a lot of the charm come with the discovery, at least in my experience, that's what I enjoy the most, and once it's past it's gone, it's not novelty anymore... and I feel like when I explain stuff to you, or anyone for that matter, you are robbed of the experience of the discovery...

And I also think it's intellectually lazy, but that's just the son of a bitch in me speaking.

I really don't mind people who say what they think. And i don't take it the wrong way ever. You took your time to help me, that's all i see.

For the rest i understand.
This game is quite unique in my opinion.
It's similar to what you might find in a tabletop role-playing environment. It includes many things that are denied to us in most games... because it's considered inappropriate.

But you're right to point out that I should preserve the element of discovery. Not to mention that sometimes I'm just a little bad at it and need a bit of help.

All that to say, thank you for helping when you can.

It's not just that. It's got a depth that we don't get a lot of. The story (there is enough material and lore to get a couple of books going (past events on Raana and the game's timeline) at least. There is a management system that is very rare to see. It's not just that we can have slaves. We are managing a house, an army, people, budgets. And we can actually mold the various NPCs i many ways and not just "level" up in a more or less linear fashion.
I like naughty games, but they need to be good games. Can't really stand things like visual novels or interactive fictions (with some very few honourable exceptions) as they aren't really games.
MoR really delivers on many fronts and yes, it has a lot of grime and sex, but it works seamlessly with the lore and the story.
And even more amazingly, it's a game made with Twine. It's one of the most "basic" game "engines" around and the game doesn't feel basic at all. It's got so much to dive into. Honestly... took me more hours of trial and error and lore, wiki and tutorials reading to play MoR than it took me games like Rimworld or Wasteland. And there is still a tonne I don't know but it doesn't feel boring at all.

Tried it, and you can.

All the factions are editable in this, standing, power, funds.
Also relevant if you want to get the Rebels past the goal.
I've used it on my current run to get some money to speed things up a bit. For some reason it's not (at least for me) allowing to change the MC's money. As far as I can tell it's adding a space or something that is not working 100%. But I just add Embryl to my inventory and that works about the same.

The game isn't even finished yet.
