I hit a barrier with my catholic standing, atleast without converting.
I don't really want to do that, because I have multiple wives in that playthrough.

Really want to unlock the higher tiers of the monastery though, great way to park fresh girls to get them decent starting stats.

Is there a cheat for standing, or do I have to wait for a newer version where you can max out standing even without being christian?
The faction got overhauled, it's no longer just a place that you can take over and turn into a cash cow through donations.

Apparently Aesir is getting overhauled next, and other factions to follow.

You really don't like figuring things out by yourself now do you.

It's a recurring event, you always have the option to "exterminate" the cat, but if you leave it be, after a while it will add to your guard value, there's nothing outside the end day event.
It is a way

Sorry for seeming to need help with so many things. I started playing the game a few days ago and I keep trying new things... but sometimes I get a little carried away and end up asking on the forum.

It's alright don't mind me, I'm just mean with a bad temper, terrible at being friendly really.

the game as a lot of content, but if I dare to say, a lot of the charm come with the discovery, at least in my experience, that's what I enjoy the most, and once it's past it's gone, it's not novelty anymore... and I feel like when I explain stuff to you, or anyone for that matter, you are robbed of the experience of the discovery...

And I also think it's intellectually lazy, but that's just the son of a bitch in me speaking.

I really don't mind people who say what they think. And i don't take it the wrong way ever. You took your time to help me, that's all i see.

For the rest i understand.
This game is quite unique in my opinion.
It's similar to what you might find in a tabletop role-playing environment. It includes many things that are denied to us in most games... because it's considered inappropriate.

But you're right to point out that I should preserve the element of discovery. Not to mention that sometimes I'm just a little bad at it and need a bit of help.

All that to say, thank you for helping when you can.

It's not just that. It's got a depth that we don't get a lot of. The story (there is enough material and lore to get a couple of books going (past events on Raana and the game's timeline) at least. There is a management system that is very rare to see. It's not just that we can have slaves. We are managing a house, an army, people, budgets. And we can actually mold the various NPCs i many ways and not just "level" up in a more or less linear fashion.
I like naughty games, but they need to be good games. Can't really stand things like visual novels or interactive fictions (with some very few honourable exceptions) as they aren't really games.
MoR really delivers on many fronts and yes, it has a lot of grime and sex, but it works seamlessly with the lore and the story.
And even more amazingly, it's a game made with Twine. It's one of the most "basic" game "engines" around and the game doesn't feel basic at all. It's got so much to dive into. Honestly... took me more hours of trial and error and lore, wiki and tutorials reading to play MoR than it took me games like Rimworld or Wasteland. And there is still a tonne I don't know but it doesn't feel boring at all.

Tried it, and you can.

All the factions are editable in this, standing, power, funds.
Also relevant if you want to get the Rebels past the goal.
I've used it on my current run to get some money to speed things up a bit. For some reason it's not (at least for me) allowing to change the MC's money. As far as I can tell it's adding a space or something that is not working 100%. But I just add Embryl to my inventory and that works about the same.

yeah, the church is currently being overhauled for the better (and moar content).
hiccups and oversight do happen from time to time. for now, as you mentioned, it is very hard to raise the church standing without going attending the council (and the council itself only happen every 7 days).

the abbey is part of that oversight.

but somebody had brought this issue up in discord server (Dev is aware of it, to say the least).
hopefully it will be addressed in the next update.

Weird question but...

Are libraries even worth it ?

If I'm not wrong their bonus don't affect MC so he can't gain stats out of it at the end of the day.

It gives Aca and Science with lower % than bedroom with only 2 shelfs not 8 and room also can give Int.

Is there something I miss that makes them good that justify the cost.

Bedroom bonus only applies to people assigned to the bedroom and there's only so many people you can fit into bedrooms.

Library bonus applies to everyone, as long as they're not in bondage overnight or on an away mission (Arena, Foreman...), IIRC.

That said, I do also believe libraries don't stack, so don't build more than one (unless someone more knowledgeable says that they do indeed stack).

Thanks.

Overall good to know that only one works unless someone confirms they stack even if underwhelming I wanted to build 3 in place of prison cells cause I don't use them anyway but seems like that isn't the way.

Last question and it's about religion... Aesir "+ 10 combat damage" is it just melee or both ?

You can actually stick Nicole's News Office in one of those prison cell slots.

Should be both, but it only applies to you, not everyone, except if they are high devotion Aesir too.

there are several one-off gains for MC when you read books in the library.
beyond that, i don't really see any use of it outside being house decoration.

i'm aware of it having passive effects overnight, but it doesn't really train anything important.
i also have the same view about private rooms. though you can argue that it would train INT.

Yes, absolutely, one of the few tools to get MC's intelligence to very high levels via reading book collections, which ends up being one of the most important stats in educating servants and general stat gains via conversations.

for the slavemasters of raana quest line, is there a point in where I can't switch sides? which pathway has more content/ girls?
If you turn Aria over to the Kymanto, that locks you to SMR. OTOH if you complete (or start?) clearing the enemies at Corazon Gorge, that locks you to NWO.

SMR is the newer questline and I think currently has more unique characters attached to it. As for content, NWO technically has less, but the biggest single part of the questline takes quite long, probably longer than completing all of SMR.

Just reached 100 willpower so thinking of changing religion.
Leaning towards Two Moons. Free influence is nice. And rp-wise, it is the official religion and I feel the MC is very much part of ikaanian society and really just want to increase his status and protect the city. Even siding with the rebels is unattractive to me.
But then maybe Aesir, all the other faiths seem Abrahimics in one form or another. And combat damage is nice.
Is there any quest I should do before converting?

Lore-wise I would say it's the Cult of the Elders, meant for real mans, it's some sort of animism, based on pre-christian baltic beliefs (if Finland worshiped an Eldritch cosmic horror) and is the one that the MC's father fallowed, it's also the one cult that give the most interaction with the world and is the sworn enemy of the corrupted "Cucks of the two moons" that only manlets joins.

besides that it's mainly about your playstyle, Aesirs are almost paramount for any "grimdark" playthrough because of the damage bonus and late game fights.

Though, If I were in your shoes I would wait, patch ahead are reworking cults and there's maybe one soon that will grasp your interest, the Christian really disapointed me personally but there's maybe more interesting flavors to come.

More specifically, the next update should re-work Aesir, which will include total reset of faction standing, just as happened with Christianity in the last update.

So, unless you plan to go Catholic, might be best to hold your horses for a bit.
