So what's the deal with getting Urchin events? Does the city have to be low in prosperity for them to proc or something? I get one or two events to spawn at the start, and then never see them again.

I know you can set them to spawn with the "killurch" code, but I'm not entirely sure how to trigger that in game. Trying to use colons and quotations in the console just tends to throw up syntax errors.

There's two types... wait three types of urchin events.

The one that leads to the Urchin works regardless of prosperity. It's just very RNG to proc.

Based on my calculations, it's cheaper to buy 7.62 ammo for the automatic rifle than to craft it (6$ vs 7$ per bullet) and you also don't get any Blacksmithing/Artisan skill points.
So what's the point of crafting ammo if you end up spending more money and crafting time, without any benefits?

Right now, I can buy 20x 7.62mm for $117. That's a per unit cost of $5.85.

It takes 1 fastener and 1 unit of gunpowder to make one 7.62mm ammo.

I can buy 5,000 units of gunpowder for $12,500. That's a unit cost of $2.5.

I can buy fasteners at a unit cost of $1.

For me, it is cheaper to craft it.

Build a workshop in your yard, assign full of slaves, make rifles.

Once you have about a 1000, go to Hamah Bay to sell them for 750 per rifle.

With workshops. That is where the real money is. Two fully developed workshops, with a picked crew of highly disciplined workers can bring, making rifles and shotguns and selling them, close to 80.000 of profit per day

On my save the gunpowder barrel is 20k and the same amount of fasteners costs 15k. So 35k dollars for 5000 bullets = 7$/bullet.
I can buy 20 bullets for 120$ = 6$/bullet

I checked 3 vendors (Market, Belial and Aimee) and they all sell fasteners at 3$/piece. I don't know what you did to get it down to 1$/piece.
