No doubt but the more shocking thing for me is that people still pay attention to what this dev says or the dev still has support on patron if you ever need proof people like to waste their money here you go glad I moved on from this vn
Mass cancellations the second devs start pulling this shit is the only way to fix these devs and hold them accountable. Hit them right in the wallet.

I don't think that the 220$ he gets from patreon is that big of a wallet.
He is the master of his creation, so it living or dying is all up to him.

Agree, and even if the game is released tomorrow then how much time will take to the next one now that he has another game being developed together with Matrix Hearts? I'm a pessimist with this and even if he releases MH now in December or January, his new game first release will be on the second half of 2025 at best, then MH on the 2nd half of 2026...one per year and alternating, in the end will take even longer to each MH release than now...and this in the best case scenario without any RL problems delaying things, not worth for me...i also decided to just gave up and let it go.

I have been waiting to reveal some of the new things coming from Blue Otter Games and here is the first.
Introducing the newest game: Maelstrom Chaser!
Before continuing, I want to reiterate that this is NOT replacing Matrix Hearts. Matrix Hearts is still the primary game coming from Blue Otter Games. Maelstrom Chaser has been a culmination of the first visual novel I wanted to do, but we had to pivot because of the costs of purchasing the fantasy elements needed for the game.
Maelstrom Chaser is going to be released between Matrix Hearts chapters. The chapters are much shorter, around 500-700 renders per chapter. The script is also complete, and the environments are already 90% built, so there won't be a need to spend a lot of time on either of those.
Now, let's introduce the game!
In a world of brass and steam, maelstroms filled with monsters are kept at bay from entering the human world thanks to the power of maelstrom trees. In order to keep these trees healthy, they are tended by the magical abilities of Guardians, who have protected the trees for generations. Even with the protections, there comes a time when the monsters come into the world, and the mission to protect the world belongs to a Maelstrom Chaser.
The game is set in a steam-brass version of Riga, Latvia. The two characters I am going to introduce today are the Guardians and two of the primary love interests in the game, the twins.
If it's not too much trouble could you maybe post the ones from 29th October and 23rd November as well?
Would really like to see what happened in the month between "mirror site slow to upload" to "hey guess what, still nothing after a month but here's a brand new game no one asked for".

As a present this year, I want to get you excited for next year. Here is a preview render from Chapter 4 with Stormy, a big scene from the chapter. It's going to be the first completed scene, and I'm going to have even more preview renders coming near the start of the year.

tbh I like pretty much all of them to some degree. Rylee is my favorite not sure sure if Stormy is my 2nd or 3rd favorite

In a vacuum, there's nothing wrong with Stormy... But to me, she represents Layla whoring out the MC to fix Stormy's cum machine.

yeah she does kind of push her from what I recall but I kind of liked like Layla alot , so I didn't mind so much. she is the one I can't decide if I prefer over stormy or not for 2nd or 3rd place I need to do a replay of this game to recall.

Yeah... In a way it makes sense though. She's his therapist and probably isn't thinking of him as more than a client at that point. Still, it soured that relationship for me. She didn't push the MC toward Stormy for his benefit either, but for Stormy's.
Apart from that, Layla would be my favorite LI. The only other one I remember is the kayak girl, and she's psychotic.

damn now I really have to replay this game I did not get a psychotic feeling from the blonde kayak girl what so ever. The only one that came close to that for me is the bully / bitchy girl but not sure if she is even crazy just more of a big bitch lol. Then Rylee probably to some degree but I never thought she was crazy in a bad way that id want to stay away lol.

So, Kayak girl is at the top of her sport, and takes a crippled guy out to kayak. She then decides to wobble the boat, and if the guy falls overboard, she'll blame him for not knowing how to handle the wobbling. She's got a screw loose!
