I don't believe so, (but I can't see locked content) there was another post a few weeks about the release, but I would have thought there would be a post saying it is released if it was.
This developer just announced a new game when he cant even get it the fuck together with his current game. SMFH.

Ello Otters!
I have been waiting to reveal some of the new things coming from Blue Otter Games and here is the first.
Introducing the newest game: Maelstrom Chaser!
Before continuing, I want to reiterate that this is NOT replacing Matrix Hearts. Matrix Hearts is still the primary game coming from Blue Otter Games. Maelstrom Chaser has been a culmination of the first visual novel I wanted to do, but we had to pivot because of the costs of purchasing the fantasy elements needed for the game.
Maelstrom Chaser is going to be released between Matrix Hearts chapters. The chapters are much shorter, around 500-700 renders per chapter. The script is also complete, and the environments are already 90% built, so there won't be a need to spend a lot of time on either of those.
Now, let's introduce the game!
In a world of brass and steam, maelstroms filled with monsters are kept at bay from entering the human world thanks to the power of maelstrom trees. In order to keep these trees healthy, they are tended by the magical abilities of Guardians, who have protected the trees for generations. Even with the protections, there comes a time when the monsters come into the world, and the mission to protect the world belongs to a Maelstrom Chaser.
The game is set in a steam-brass version of Riga, Latvia. The two characters I am going to introduce today are the Guardians and two of the primary love interests in the game, the twins.
Liga:
Cool, calm, collected. She is both levelheaded and won't make much of a fuss about her role as a Guardian.
Iveta:
Animated, perky, energetic. She is much fonder of her role as a Guardian and the Maelstrom.
There is plenty more magic to be had in Maelstrom Chaser! This is a combination of all the things I have learned making games as if going to feature new stuff I wasn't able to do in Matrix Hearts.
More info is coming for Christmas, as well as Otter Christmas week! You can expect a lot of content, including the release of Matrix Hearts 3.9.

I wouldn't get too concerned. Development can't get much slower. Chapter 4 was just about ready in October 2023, then in June, it was going to be out in a couple of weeks. Then a remake/coding for 1-3 was coming in October, with new content in November. Now we are going to get the 3.9 in December.

ah I didn't play this game till late Summer for the first time but did hear it was slow just wasn't sure how slow
Yes as soon as they start planning new games when they cant even deliver on the existing game, it's circling the drain. It's almost as bad as the ghosting and the coming up with a lame ass e
Dude when devs start announcing new games when they cant deliver on their existing games, it's basically the kiss of death. It's no different than ghosting after promising a deadline and then coming up with a lame ass "I was sick" excuse 5 months later.How much do you wager that it is not going to be this christmas
