Keep at it. All the enemies are designed to have fairly simple methods to beating or passing them. The only really hard moments are when you get 3-4 enemies show up at the same time. That's when you use your special move.
Don't neglect slide attack. Its very strong. 1-shots most enemies or at least skips past them.
Actually the only really hard moments are when you get too horny and end up walking into attacks on purpose.

I think it was removed to some Anti bestiality rule on patreon or such, On this forum, pages back someone did post a patch to enable him again luckily

Because the window size values are stored in the registry.
(Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\T-Hoodie Draws\Max_The_Elf_DEMO)
Anyway, if you don't have the cheats installed:
to go/exit full screen you can press alt+enter. Or if you want to change the window size, you can make a shortcut for "Max_The_Elf_DEMO", then go to the properties of the shortcut, and add to the destination
" -screen-width 1280 -screen-height 720"
