Not bad, maybe.
Here's the progress update:
Pictures: 270
Code: 1500 lines
Character Dialogue: 800 lines
story: 20%
ui: 90%
Translation: 0%
Music: 40%
Animation: 3 segments
I anticipate adding a web-playable version in the next update, which will allow you to play the game directly on the web without downloading the game client.
Of course, this is just an experimental project, and there may be many issues.
However, the ability to experience the uncompressed graphics quality without any downloads and to play on iOS phones could be quite significant. I'm looking forward to its potential impact on promoting the game in the future.

There's something quite unique in Mayfly renders: currently most 3D visual novel graphic renders are either on the realism side (Leap of Faith, DIK, Broken Dreamers, Race of Life etc.) or adopt an Anime-Realism blend (Eternum, Pale Carnations, Stormside etc.). There are also a few odd ones that are fully 3D Anime/Hentai.

Mayfly on the other hand is the only VN I have seen so far that sits at a space somewhere between the Anime-Realism blend and 3D Anime/Hentai spectrum. It sort of resembles in style to some FF games yet also has a certain ethereal quality similar to some 2D Anime renders.

Pros is this is currently an untapped space and a niche can be carved out, cons is many players who prefer models built on realism might find this even further departure from convention hard to swallow.

Yea, to be honest when the concept of 3D animation first became popularized, I sort of imagined Anime / Hentai will eventually also branch out into 3D form looking something like what you have. Unfortunately, for some unknown reason Jap studios pursued a different path as can be seen of the 3D Animes / Hentai we have now.

The small crop of 3D Animes out there in the market are of very low quality and most Jap studios have retreated back to the traditional 2D + CGI format due to a lack of popularity. 3D Hentai games fared worse - most are so poorly designed and rendered that they have no widespread appeal beyond niche audience.

This has allowed China studios to dominate the 3D animation space and aesthetically their renders really do look much better than the 3D Animes I have seen. Too bad China bans porn, otherwise we could have gotten some really good adult 3D shows and VNs.
