Hey, everyone. I got an update from Suzinak and it's not looking good.
Unfortunately, he's swamped with his day job and hasn't managed to find the necessary time to continue the game.

From my point of view, it's not looking optimistic, and not even March is on the horizon for an update.
I have updated the threat to "on-hold" status as it's not clear when the next update will come out.

Ouch. This one hurt. I can't remember the last time I saw a game so promising. MMC was a contender. You did a really great job with the writing. Hopefully you can get together with another game dev if that's the path that you want to go.

I really can't see Suzinak returning to MMC. I hope that I'm wrong, but there were a lot of bad signs going back for a while. A real shame.

Can't say that I was surprised at this point, but this news saddens me nonetheless..

Yeah, that was exactly my reaction too! The potential for this game was really big. Now, whatever happens in the future, a big part of the trust is lost on all parts.

I don’t know. Maybe he doesn’t like telling bad news? Maybe he feels he has explained himself with his last post?

It was my initiative to ask him if he has plans for next month and if he knows when he’ll have time. He was not hopeful for next month and unsure about when he will have time. So that’s not optimistic from my perspective and that’s what I’m sharing here.

Even if I’m not responsible for this behavior, I still owe it to all you kind people to keep you informed. And to manage your expectations and be transparent in this aspect.

Yep, it seems so, but I’m going to wait till suzinak says it’s abandoned. If he still wants to continue working on it, so be it, even if he manages to find time on his summer vacation (that’s august for those keeping track).

Won't unfollow this thread for the time being, but will refrain from commenting. Still, I'll say this before I take a break from this thread : Suzinak doesn't deserve one inch of your dedication. You are a good guy and you deserve to work with serious pplz or a Team who see your worth. If Suzinak sinks, let him sink alone. Focus on your game/work. Sayonara.

Everynow and then I looked at this thread hoping to see any kind of good-news. I know its sad. Reality is often disappointing.

If this game does get abandoned like it looks like it will. Can you tell us what is going on with Marge mentally. I think you could do this game with new artists. After all why let all of your hard work regarding the story writing go to waste.

1st year of uni is a bitch. Compound that with part time jobs and you can forget about having side projects. Not to mention, actual job>>>patreon unless you're in the top 0.whatever% of devs. Can't really fault him for putting this on ice, esp since he has done the decent thing and paused payments. Also worth noting, there are a lot of obscure hobbyist porno devs who post 1/2 updates a year, but they are honest and consistent about it.

In case he abandons it altogether, I'm sure a bunch of people on this site will help you out if you manage to get the assets and already finished renders. I seem to recall you saying there are 10 more chapters, which is prob not feasible at this point. If the game resumes development at some point, editing down the rest of the story might be a good idea. The last scene is p climactic, the plot can only subside or flatten out from there unless you want to add a ton of stuff. Personally I think land-sex games work best as an short exclusive scenario between two characters.

Yeah, I think everyone understands the reason why he did it, it's just disappointing (for me too).

On the other part, if it gets abandoned, I wouldn't shorten the story and that's the point. But if I would go forward, I would make it a separate creation, I wouldn't try to replicate Suzinak. I want to be as original as I can be in that aspect. And on the story, there's an evolution of characters and that's the interesting part in this story. If you shorten it, you're losing those intermediate steps that did it for the characters. And indeed there are a lot of story points that are going to be added going forward. The story was supposed to reach its resolution on Ch10.

I am a little disappointed that it is on hold. The game has great potential, which many here say. However, I also understand you that it has other things to do than just make a super cool game. hope firmly that everything comes good again and I can continue to play one of my favorite games.

That would be amazing. Glad to hear there will be a back up plan in case this gets abandoned but please keep the mom design, that's all we need
