I currently played the 2.1 version so i have no idea if what i found still applies to the current version
The animated scenes were indeed affected by the compression
There's also a scaling issue
You can confuse the game as well, by pressing in the heart instead of the house, clicking on Neko-chan and pressing the skip button
You can soft-lock yourself from meeting Lorica by skipping after any scene after the first neko-chan's one since Ren'py takes it's own choices and the story frecuently places the MC as a relative nobody that everyone is slowly getting to know to someone they knew all their lives.
And on a lighter note, MC reminds me of Lios from Cosmic Break, doesn't help that Lios is blonde as well

2.1 is the most current version of the first chapter. Chapter 2 is an entirely different game build. So you're good m8.
Tested the skipping thing. You're right it seems. A player can break the game by clicking the heart screen and skipping.
And you can skip through the entire intro of the game in seconds it seems, therefore 'soft-locking' yourself out of meeting several characters.
By soft-locking I'm hoping you mean this is different than hard-locking and therefore it does not break the game after the intro is skipped through.
As for compression and scaling I can't say. Depends if you're playing my release or a compressed version or PC/MAC or android.
Android version has all types of issues from what I understand. They're my fault of course but I'm never gonna fix them.
All I know is my release of PC/Linux/MAC has good quality. If by scaling you mean because the game is rendered in 1600x900 Idk what to say. Is what it is.
Im confused. Do i have to download chapter1 and chapter2 separately do play the full game? or just download the chap2 v8 and get the full game

Ye, they know. Sorry lad. Turns out a regular poster informed the compressor bois in their thread before I had made that post.Asked 2 times, but for now nothing so i'm still waiting
Leave them be, they'll get to it when they can. The v8.0 has 1,292 animations, it's a pain in the ass for them to do MM.
In slightly better news the v9.0 I'm working on has 1,356 animations by current count, so get hyped peeps!

Anyways Lads, v9.0 just dropped for Patreons. Heads up, it's the last update for Chapter Two. Chapter Two is like 5.70gb and is now a completed game much like Chapter One. Chapter Three is next. Gonna take some time to add a replay gallery to Chapter One and fix the main menu.
This will not happen in October, my pledges are paused (Pay up front is active, don't sub under false pretense.).
I have IRL work I have to fly out of state for on the 15th of October. So no October update. Try not to sweat it, MM isn't going anywhere. I'll be back at it like a crack addict.
