VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Melody [v1.00 Extras] [MrDots Games]

Yet Another MASTER PIECE From Mr Dots! I literally had no expectations from this game as i think it was planned on really a short notice because of problems with DMD. After playing couple of updates i really was awestruck with how much i got attached with the main character MELODY. All the models in this game look really amazing & am loving the pace at which this game is going. Let me mention this, I play VN adult games for the story & how good the attachment with the character is, and so far DMD & MELODY are at the top for me. DO check this game out if you haven't!

I'm gonna have to agree with the other reviewer on most points. Especially regarding the story. Man, does the dialogue drag most of the time! It's as if the writer doesn't trust the player to be able to fill in the blanks, so they feel they have to explain every single thought , that every single character is having all of the time. Admittedly, I'm not too far into the story so far, but I'm already finding myself just mashing the space bar because the dialog is so unnecessary and boring. Ffs, there was about five minutes of dialog about a restaurant and chicken legs! I wish this writer (and writers of a lot of other games) would just take a second and read through their work and ask themselves if this is how normal people talk to each other. Because if they did, they'd realize they can get their story across in about half the dialog.

The renders are fine, but as the other reviewer pointed out, most of the girls look like children. I understand that young college co-eds are popular fantasy subjects, but most of these girls faces look they haven't even hit puberty yet. I want to be turned on by the sexy females, but then I end up just feeling a little gross because most of them look so young.

What little sex scenes I've encountered so far are fine, but the animation might just be a bit too fast, It makes it look a little silly at times, and can take you out of what's supposed to be sexy. One good thing about this game is that the women are at least proportional looking and don't have ridiculously large breasts or butts. And the main character doesn't have some cartoonishly large penis.

Overall not a bad game, just needs to tighten up the story dialog and keep the plot moving. But so far it's a decent game.

Is is it a 1 star? Hmm, for some it is! Why? Well...
The good:
Story! Build up! Romance! Script! Personalities! Dialogs... You see where this is going, right?
This game is about story, journey so to speak... If you like that then you`ll be blown away. This is the best part of the game! Renders, animations are solid, sometimes great, but overall good!
The bad:
A lot! Basically no choices even when you`re presented with one! Its either this or that( whatever you do, you can`t fuck up the main story - Melody path)
Sometimes its also sooooo boring! Dialogues last forever, and when you want to have some build up...its just grope her! Totally messed up! Basically of 100% story- 90% boring story 10% build up! I just wish it was the opposite!
The ugly:
Well, how to say it... The girls in this game are, well... Seriously, you guys don`t see it or...Oh I get it... You don`t want to talk about it...welll..
The girls are between 11-14 years old! This is incredible! Melody has face, body like a 13 year old!(with plastic boobs!) And what about her friend! Maybe 10?! Also her aunt hmmm maybe 20!?
That totally ruined it for me! The whole story just went to toilet because of that!
Only because of the overall quality I gave this game a 4 star. But, it just isn`t for me...

Melody is yet to be finished but the game alone sports numerous renders. It is on its way to becoming a very great game

Animations are stunning, characters are beautiful and you have a choice to reject any girl (beside Melody herself).

Personally really enjoy MRdots catering to my kink of ballsucking. A rarity for most of the games, I've played on F95zone.

Wow! First of all, this game is a good story. If you are looking for more of a porn experience (shallow plot, if any, before nearly immediate action) then this is not your game. That is not to say it is without action either. You certainly have to build your relationship with Melody but there are some amazing characters before that to tempt you. And damn, are they tempting!

Speaking of characters, the character designs are really good too, without exaggerated features. It is sort of like a CW show, even the "ugly" characters are amazingly above average. Each character has a personality that draws you in and is unique enough that you want to know more about them. This of course, leads to the biggest decision in the game, who do you want more?

You can't have them all and there will be consequences for trying. I actually like that aspect to this game, MC isn't some uberperv or super suave guy, he's a nice guy without being a "nice guy". As such it make sense that he should not be trying for a harem and is conflicted as the player is. I mean the game is called Melody, but still, should that be who you end up with. I can't wait to see how this concludes.

I will start by saying...this is one of the best ones i played so far!

Renders:
Looks amazing. Definitely high tier quality.

Characters:
The girls are gorgeous though i'm not a fan of Amy's hairstyle. I like how the dev designed the ex because i would not mind her hooking with someone else lol

Story:
It is intriguing but the music stuff bores me. I'm not a musician so i could not relate to it. On the contrary, I love EDM so if it is about DJs, I'm all in!

Lewd scenes:
Oh heck yeah! It includes animations so a huge plus for me. One of the best I've seen so far.

Overall, I had a blast! Thank you for sharing the game! Keep up the great work MrDots.

Overall a very good game.
Characters are really well crafted visuallly and quite well developed in their personality.
The story is very well thought and you can feel all the work and the care the developer put into it.

I don't give it 5 stars because i personally find the all music themed story to be really boring for my personal tastes, but i can still admire the care for details and the effort that was put into making it feel believable.
I also completely hate the protagonist and his pathetic inner dialogue.
The dev is really good, but i don't understand his fixation for spineless, hypocritical main characthers which at the same time manage to come off as the classical good guy. (like in DMD)
Another flaw is the absurdity of some of the sex scenes, which results in them ultimately being anti-climactic (two adults watching themselves masturbate without actually having sex on their first date is something really stupid and a huge turn-off imo).

Overall i can only reccomend people to play and support this game, because of the amount and the quality of the content it offers.

I think you don't realize what you guys have created here. A modern fairytale, that caught me so defenseless I absolutely wasn't prepared for it. Granted, the story goes easy on the main character - he clearly is in luck. Some tends to prefer darker things, these days. As for me, I simply recognized myself in him more than in anything, any media at all I have been using before.


I'm a eager reader, having read a lot since my young age. Really a lot. Lover of RPGs and even occasionally a little D&D game. Cinema lover too. More than everything, I'm a (french) writer, having wrote a fan fiction in a game universe that has been loved and read for four years. When I tell you I experimented with entering a story deeply, it's no joke.

Nothing, or at least I can't remember a thing, has got me as deep in as Melody. There are a few reasons to that and I will try and list some.
As I said before, the main character resonates in me incredibly - being the good guy, but doing some mistakes and not knowing how to react to it, yet having so much interesting experiences in the past, life always ends up giving another shot.
Storytelling is very good, also. Characters are complex, not only directed toward the one goal you usually witness fictionnal figures being mold into. Trust me on that, as a writer, I can tell you not so much people succeed in that area - including reknowned and successful writers.

The music vibes are incredibly strong. As a rock lover since my childhood, I don't think any other environment would have offered the possibility to get this thing to the incredible piece of art it is.

And there is Melody.
I'm completely hypnotized.

Okay, the graphics are good - but that's something a lot of games got right. That's not it. Melody is something else.
Melody is that incredible young woman that you want to protect, yet you feel her inner strength at every turn. She wants to feel protected and that someone cares about her, and like the fiercest flower she then blooms into heaven.

At the same pace the main character did, I completely fell for Melody. So much that I started playing that game like it was really me who made choices, not trying to get any girl I could to get naked as I always did in every game that offered me to do so, but I simply slowly lost sight of every other women in the game.


Melody is one of the finest worked on characters I have ever seen. I'm completely, utterly in love. So much that when I would left home to get to work, I would continue my game on my phone on the way there and at lunch break.

And then comes the really incredible part. All the chivalry displayed by the main character due to my choices gave me strength to go and be even more of the good guy. Playing this game starts to have a really positive impact in my life. I'm more patient and understanding with my loved ones.
The restrained choices I would have in game makes me think more about how to make the good choice in real life events.

So I thought I had to thank you for making this happen. Your work is incredible... i'm playing the game right now, using some relaxing music compilations to accompany the journey.
Of course I will be heading to Patreon as soon as Melody gives me a few minutes to do so, and buy the game there. It's the least I can do for such a masterpiece.

Please continue to do what you do. It's simply one of a kind. Don't fall into easiness for next projects, live up to your talent...

I wonder what the storyline will do from here on.

Something about these games I don't quite get is the order of sex acts, but that is probably my own hangup. It is interesting to me to see how different game makers clearly have different preferences, and different positions (pun intended) on contraceptive use. Anyway, great game, 5/5.

The first vn that I played.Great renders and art design... All characters are well proportioned. There’s a point system and shows how good your relationship with Melody is based on your decisions, after the right amount of points you level up your relationship with her and you unlock new sexual progress. Great story, mainly if you like music too. MC and Melody have natural dialogues, a coherent narrative, well written and there’s no corruption stuff here, so everything is based on the win the girl affection by dialogue or helping her. Melody and Sophia always my favorites!

Bad points:
Too much career-focused if you're on Melody's path

This game is one of the best games 18+ i ever played it has great story (but could be better ) the girls are beautiful and hot and the game has really great renders,
Melody is just perfect and i'll continue waiting for next updates i really love this game and i'd recomend everyone to play it

Love the story and love the characters. No dumb bimbos. They each have their own personality. Really looking forward to seeing more of all the characters. I started out playing MrDots other game, Dating My Daughter, which I enjoy a great deal, but Melody is so much better. It has better characters, both looks wise and personality wise and a generally better story.

This is probably one of the best games I've played here. The characters are well developed, and the story line is well done. I first played this game several months ago, and quickly got hooked in the first few minutes of playing. You have done a great job making the story believable and the characters interesting. I look forward to the rest of the story and to see where the MC and Melody go from here. Also how things develop with the rest of the stories characters.

First,I saw this game on pornhub...
I was attracted to the good-looking characters, so I started to play this game.

I spent about 3 days playing through the latest version (v0.07), and now I really want to know the relationship between the MC and Melody.

They were strangers at first, but gradually relied on each other.
Seeing how far they will go and overcome challenges together are the main reasons I play this game.

Though it has good scenario, I think the music and sex scenes leave some room for improvement. Only dialogues and some changes on facial expressions seem to be a little tedious. It would be much better if there's background music.
And their sex finishes too fast, just give you some options and cum, I hope there will be more interactions between MC and other characters when the do something in the bed...

Still, it's a good game, and I am looking forward to the update after a few days!

Being a bit of a musician myself, this game attracted me because of its theme, name, and the gorgeous cover girl and her guitar. Fun fact: I named one of my guitars, Melody.

Being a fan of visual novels, and particularly those that deal with the music world, I had a lot of fun getting to know the main characters, their musical knowledge and influence, and going through the different paths and witnessing the consequences of my choices.

The fact that the main character can pursue other female love interests besides Melody, further increased my interest and immersion, as I love a good drama that comes from the characters engaging in multiple relations. Plus, all characters have gorgeous models and different body types, which increases the probability of satisfying more players.

The lack of background music is the only thing I can really signal as a weakness at this point, but the game is still under development, and we can simply play with other music in the background (preferably, some style related to those present in the game -- classical/jazz/rock).

Recommended to all players who like a good erotic story, drama, musical themes, and gorgeous young girl models.

I love this game, can't wait next chapter! the plot is well built, the protagonists have been studied in depth. I hope there are various endings, the only criticism is that sometimes there are too many dialogues and little action.

- 5/5 Story (The game has a good story. It's not just a "meet-n-fuck-fest" like other games).
- 5/5 Models and Renders (Very good looking girls and lots of different backgroud scenes).
- 3/5 Animations... (Some animations loops are a bit too short and have a weird speed/timing so they feel "robotic". The sex animations so far are a little below the average compared to other similar popular games).

It is a very good game so far, I just hope they can improve the animations a bit!

Loving it so far. Excellent progressive story with a fair amount of content with each update. The characters grow on you, the main character was well thought out and I love the way his back ground unravels as you progress through the story. The story is from my experience quite unique and will leave you wanting more.

One of my all time favorites, beautiful models, great writing, stellar renders, I am really enjoying the story so far, it progresses naturally, and doesn't feel forced, this is another VN done right, very close to perfection, branching choices are well implemented, and I am assuming there will be consequences to some of them further on .
An absolute must play, I cannot recommend it enough .
