They always give options with the girls, so when you run into Bethany, just choose any and all options that equate to telling her to go fuck herself, and the great dane she rode in on.
And if she is just after the car, then either give it to her, or legally she could go to court and get half of everything, instead of everything except the car.

I have two sets of saves and my favored one is the Melody-only route. BUT I also allowed for Sophia being unlocked in that path because (although the MC doesn't know yet) the casual sex Sophia lures Melody into could probably be better managed in the future if both are being open with the MC about what they want.
