Just remember that Melody is a VN which claims to have a well written story with sexual content. It is NOT a "game" where you have to convince/corrupt the characters into a fucking sex orgy feast where MC is supposed to fuck everything he can reach at same time!

EDIT: my personal thoughts - and i know i may have many opinions against me - the actual amount of sex scenes is nearly too much though ... i mean the content is: sex... having a scene somewhere... comming back for sex.... having another scene... comming back for sex ... and so on. Compared to the "natural written" story until last update, this is really hard on beeing overdone and should be taken care not to "destroy" the good story by too much sex.
Of course i understand other thoughts about this, but thats just my personal opinion.

And I am most thankful for this. Now I just have to wait for our zany trio to find the right spot in their full schedule and sneak under the nose of Hank's crew to seal their bond.

By the way, the main characters trying to keep their relationship a secret (even more so if/when it gets enlarged into a threesome with another artist) certainly works up to a degree to add a little comedy/drama complication to the story, but only stays barely realistic up to a point. The subculture they belong to is famously one with the loosest standards for sexual/romantic relationships and related professional boundaries. People expect the wild sex in 'sex, drugs, and rock & roll' for a reason. They are not going to be baffled by something as vanilla as manager and artist being in a relationship, or coworkers/bandmates getting into a threesome, even in this sad neo-Victorian social atmosphere. The MC and Melody's secrecy may be justifiable up to a point due to their caution and insecurity (Bethany's messing and Hank's bumbling about it did not help), but past that their assumption that Hank's crew is going to act like the HR of a company with a no-fraternization policy grows ridiculous. These are artists and budding celebrities, and the girls are college-age young adults.

I think in most games, you can tell early on whether you can have a harem or not.

This one was obviously a single girl at a time game, everything from MC's inner thoughts to what the girls personalities and thoughts/actions gave it away. The main girl (Melody) and MC have kept their relationship secret from everyone besides Sophia and Xianne so far.

No idea why he thought saving 15kb would have made that much difference.

They are not the same, the new exe is 4 times larger. Haven't checked why, hence the icon.

You need a thirdparty program. No idea which one is best, google should have the answer.

Regarding the new audio, yes it's appreciated that the dev got a 1300 songs library, but was it really necessary to throw the three songs in there that are on continuous loop in Daughter for Dessert?

I hardly think it was intentional. Imagine how much time it would take to check out other devs games just to make sure you don't use the same tracks as anyone else?
I mean, there's at least four devs that I know of that are using songs from that exact same library of music, so some songs are bound to be re-used in other games (just like character or set designs - how many versions of D from DMD have been copied and used as a base model now?).

I've counted at least 20+ different songs used in Milfy City alone from this library (which are not listed in his menu), good ones too. Besides, it's not as though DFD has never borrowed ideas from DMD before...

And which the game basically warned him about each update, by making it clear that sooner or later shit would fly, if you try to go after all the ladies.

I mean, not like I didn't go for it as long as possible, but I always knew it stops at one point.
And tbh, with the relationship management it's pretty easy to take one save and go through all possible options.

Neither Amy nor Melody showed any sign of wanting incest or being close enough that it would ever be brought up. No woman ever mentions being okay with the MC being with other women.

Both Becca and Amy want him to move with them to other cities in an exclusive relationship.

Melody and Amy both get pissed if it turns out you were with both of them.

Where, oh where, are people getting a harem from here?

It's been obvious since near the start a harem was never on the cards yet here we are, nearing the end after the shit has already hit the fan once with Amy and Melody and i'm seeing people shocked that a harem isn't happening.

A harem people have been told for months isn't coming.

I am genuinely confuddled.

It's like people see words on the screen and ignore them.

The MC turned down sex on the road when he was with Bethany because it's not in him to cheat.

There is an important mayor bug in the last release about endings; in next days probably will be release a patch to fix this problem.

Due to a major bug/ coding error on the Amy and Rebecca paths, it leads to one of the game endings, which it's not supposed to. If you do not wish to see this ending, then please do not play on either of these two paths until the end of Week 12 until this bug is fixed. MrDots will upload this patch and any other errors found in the game within the next 24-48hours. The Melody romance path still works fine and as intended to be, but other combinations/ other paths with the other girls (mentioned above) will lead to an unwanted outcome right now, which will prevent you from seeing the "real" endings in the next couple of updates. So we STRICTLY recommend to keep your current savepoint at end of last update until the patch is out and to be patient. We apologize for this issue and as always, we thank you for your patience and feedback.

Signs of our time. You can show people facts on the screen, written, in pictures, film, sound etc... they'll just ignore everything that doesn't fit what they want to believe.

And, to keep in topic, I've played enough porn games where "there are consequences... honest..." and in the end... there aren't.

So yeah, people here are 100% right that "consequences" were there day 1. Yet, I've played other games when every sleazy thing the MC ever did... and the MC got zip consequences... and a harem.

Which means, yes, you're right that everything was said from the start... but instead... I believe my eyes that other games didn't follow through with consequences (including mainstream games... cough... Mass Effect 3... cough), so unlike yourself and others, I'm actually disappointed that I can't Pokemon gotta catch em all in Melody.

Finally, as I've said in other posts, I don't especially like harem per se (!) but I'm not going to play a game 10+ times to get the various endings with each woman. Heck, I'm sad DMD doesn't have a full harem (you pick between Jennifer and Georgina... for starters). At least here, I can mess with the switches in the menu and check out the other women scenes.

If there's an actual harem ending with that game (there's what? 30? 40? 50? women) my GPU would melt from rendering the scene...

Just check the tags. It's pretty simple. If it has a harem tag it's a harem game and if it doesn't have a harem tag probably not going to be a harem game. These things can change as a game develops but don't expect them to change it for you a couple of updates from the end. It was never going to happen in Melody and if you'd been paying attention you would've worked that out for yourself.
If you feel there is actually some way it could've worked as a harem please explain it because for me there's just no way that could make any sense but I'm ready to be blown away by whatever creative plot twist you've got.

In response to a post that was neither in reaction to one of yours nor was it aimed at a specific person. Nor was it in any way insulting or aggressive on my part.
That's pretty weird that this would get you so riled up, isn't it?

TBH, I like harem endings myself a lot and like I wrote in my initial post in answer to Avaron's, I aimed for all the ladies as long as possible.
The only thing that I did different, I made no fuss once it was clear that it wasn't going to be all girls or even several girls, I didn't whine or complain about it, because Mr.Dots not only showed it through the game, but also through everything else accompanying it (fe. his own walkthrough), that this wasn't going to go that way.


I mean yes, not every game that boasts with consequences through your choices, actually delivers those, but in this specific case, I think the last update with the blow-up if you continued to bonk both Melody and Amy made it decidedly clear that this wasn't going to happen and from this point on any complaining about there not being a harem route just seems silly.
So sorry if you felt offended by my posts, but neither did I plan to directly attack somebody, nor do I think I did in any way, especially since I made a general comment about how we as a culture today deal with facts. Namely that we ignore those we don't like. That's something that goes way beyond porn games, or a specific interest, or a political position.
