I think he means going to the living room at night (works twice a week) and otherwise try different stuff in the sauna and other places during the weekly routine. But I feel you, I did everything differently several times and got stuck myself. Probably missed a bottleneck point somewhere or my save game is buggy - but I really don't care for staring from scratch right now, as a speed run is not really fun with this game as a lot of the animations are seriously laggy when you try to ctrl through.
