Working on bringing an IRL friend in the loop just in case(getting a list of good entry games to give him to feel him out before I fully introduce him to the perverse worlds we all love), but it was really an absurd coincidence that kept me from talking. Long story short, left my phone at home and didn't go back to get it cause it was going to be a quick E.R. trip for a stomach issue. Then when I realized it was going to be much more, couldn't risk sending anyone to get it because I was in the middle of my last minute test play while the game uploaded when I left. Couldn't risk a family member walking in on MC railing Hailey or one of the girls doing some dirty talk to him etc.
glad your alright brother and hope you recover quick we missed ya !!!

Definitely more coming soon. Being laid up for so long I realized that making games is actually when I feel the happiest, going to really give it a run now.
Woooo!!!

Great to see you back Nefastus. I was hoping it was some personal issue, and nothing truly tragic. I am very glad to see you back.

Sorry to hear about your heart trouble, and surgery. Health problems are the worst. I am glad to hear the surgery was succesfull (I assume stents), sounds like it is working well so that is great.

Of course, your health is the most important thing, so take it easy. But if you feel the urge to keep rendering and writing for all us pervs, all the better, haha.

Anyway, it's very rare that I ever hear good news these days, so what a treat to see you are back with us. Thanks for filling us all in on your situation!

Definitely not rushing into work.... but the good news is, this doesn't feel like work at the moment. Honestly the whole thing has me as excited to get writing and rendering as I was when I first started. Had nothing to do in hospital but lay there and daydream. Visitors were still limited so basically just saw a couple of family members every once in a while. Would have been out ages ago but got a bad infection and I think the past couple of weeks were basically just covering their own butts since the infection was from the hospital. Past two or three weeks I felt like I was good enough to go home, but I used the time old school. Got a pen and notebook and started writing out/scripting scenes with ink like a peasant. Still, riding the rush of being alive and well so nothing will keep me down for a while.
My dad was the same. Had a heart attack, luckily lived literally 2-3 minutes away from the hospital. While in the hospital he had his 2nd heart attack which killed him. They managed to get him back but while recovering he caught what they suspected was Necrotising fasciitis. Filled him up with multiple different antibiotics - at a rate that one of them he had a reaction to but they don't know which one.

He ended up having his quad bypass literally on his birthday. Was given 8-12 years as that was about all people who had heart ops back then lived for. 25 years later he's still here, having now had 3 more heart attacks (all minor). He has other health issues as well now but my old mans a tough old geezer and refuses to give in to it.

I actually totally understand. As I got older I have one friend to deal with all my "interests" so family and others will not have to deal with any unsettling discovers. One list, a spare key lead to my piece of mind for emergencies or worse :)
I don't know man, lately I have started to think that it would be funny as hell watching my family combing through terabytes of messed up kinks when I kick the bucket. If they found out before, it would make for some interesting dinner talk (wouldn't be the worst thing I have been caught with). :D

Imagine explaining the bar rape scene (the one with Rock's husband) to your family at dinner. :devilish:

Oh my fucking god i'm so fucking glad that he is fucking alive lol. But honestly, i'm so glad that Nefastus is okay, usually i don't participate in threads nor do i read them, but with the suddenly disapearence, i kept coming back to this thread almost everyday to see if there was any news about him, glad to see that he is alive.

Its Alive !!!

Glad you are well Nef aside from game i hope you are doing ok now. As a former depression connoisseur myself i was starting to lose hope. I didn't post in this site too much but i met this site 3 years after my wife passed away. While i was getting to my feet little by little recovering from alcoholism/depression i met this site and this game and the stories you and many other people tell helped taking my mind away from ....things. I hope life treat you well from now .

Two issues in version26.rpy:

The % in "100%" should be properly escaped like this: "100\%"
"That is it for version 25. Save here." : Isn't it version 26?

Nefastus, you should probably pull the update patch as it can't be used. At least not on my updated v0.20 nor the broken ass v0.25 floating around these parts:
Code:
Exception: Could not load from archive gui.rpyc.
And while the message may look a tad misleading as gui.rpyc is in fact perfectly present inside scripts.rpa, it's actually quite accurate as can be seen by unpacking scripts.rpa:
Bash:
./MidLifeCrisis.sh
Could not load /home/<stuff>/MidLifeCrisis-v0.25-pc/game/gui.rpyc
This is Ren'Py 7.0.0 pouting because of being tasked to load .rpyc files compiled by Ren'Py 7.4.5. :geek:

That being said, thank you so very much for providing such a simple yet awesome convenience to your long time fans!

Hey, I am just installed a fresh version of this game and I am getting this screen? I'm I missing something? I thought it was at version 26 now. Either way, excellent work so far and I am glad that the developer is feeling well. :)
