Neither. I can also talk about the weather, the state of my country, the bill I need to pay or whatever comes across my mind. Which would you prefer?
From my standpoint this thread is about Nef's game, neither about the prefixes, the rules, some other games, the weather or whatever came across my mind.

This game is only truly abandoned if Nef died or became terminally ill :cry:

But also there are rules about the tag
for consistency

Longer back there seemed to be inconsistency, But I see (in the threads I follow) the same time frames for any that ghost for a while.

That's the real issue imo. There's a real bad fallacy that just because a game's well established it won't be abandoned so they only want to support successful projects to not waste their money. Ignoring that lots of well established games go on year+ long hiatuses where the dev's still collecting patreon money. I'd rather rely on leaks for big projects and support smaller less established ones so they don't get abandoned. One of the games on my signature almost got abandoned because the dev made it their full time job too quickly while still in school and was making less than their cost of living. Game's massively better than literally any game on here that makes 10k+ a month but it was fighting to just survive.

There is no way to distinguish between abandonment due to ghosting or legitimate abandonment (I've asked for it), you've been on this site for nearly 6 years so should know that by now

My problem, far from unique to me, is seeing people refuse to look up answers for themselves and expecting others to do it for them. You're an adult, you should know how search works

whether it's abandoned for ghosting or officially abandoned through a statement, it's still abandoned. i dont believe i needed any more info than what i had.
what puzzles me though, is you taking my general uncommitted statement of surprise as some kind of personal attack.

Yes, that's my point, nobody knows so there's no point in asking. Maybe Nef has decided to give up on MLC, maybe he's having writer's block and is too ashamed to say anything after promising v0.35 was nearly ready or maybe he's having more health issues (a heart problem saw hospitalised a couple of years ago meaning he was radio silent for several months and almost earned the abandoned prefix then

The point, again, is that he hasn't said anything so we nobody knows and all this conversation is doing is creating alerts that give others false hope hence I'm unwatching the thread for a while (I also left his discord for that reason)

Honestly, at this point I just hope that Nef can pull himself together to make that happen and give this game the ending it deserves.

That scene is really all that is necessary to bring things to a conclusion. It may feel a bit rushed (ideally it should be led up to in 2 or so updates) but this game does deserve an ending and a rushed one is better than nothing.

Then there need to be a lot more games getting the abandoned tag also...
But I just hope all is well for the Dev as this has been such a great story with such interesting parts to it, so want it to be fully made and not left undone...
