So as a newcomer to the game, is there an easy way to get the last version of the lain mod, and the version of the game that goes with it?

you can use 0.9 mod with 0.10 but only thing that will only go to as far as when 0.9ended,can't assure you that since I just started but will know once i finish game

so far mod still working,i'm at where you go streets after you got wharehouse,they fixing it,besides mod will tell me when its done,besides have ver 0.9 game only thing gotta do is load my save with it to see end 0.9 and where .10 starts

So I decided to do a thing and hopefully it should get the basic walkthrough up to date for the 0.10 release. I didn't touch anything else other than the walkthrough and gallery unlocking. Let me know if there's any issues.

Hm. Maybe quite the stupid question but HOW do you actually unlock the scenes? It shows which are new to 0.10, but you can't actually click on them ;d

You have to load your latest save. Once you done that, just click at "Objectives" at the top bar and there under cheats you can unlock it ;d
