Sorry, but I am afraid that you completely missed my point. This is not realistic buildup. I do not mind slow development of character(s). Though, for any kind of porn, be it video, comic book or game, I do prefer going to the business soonish, but I digress.
Realistic story would be a mother trying to distance from son, trying to encourage him going out with other girls, sending him to a psychiatrist... Giving him acrobatic boobjobs, letting him to finger her arse... well it's not realistic. For that matter, I don't even mind a bit of "Stairway to Heaven" trope, but here it's overused.

Milfy City doesn't pretend to be a classic of world literature, and for what it is worth, neither does Midnight Paradise.

I consider that the progression is the appropriate one. Of course I want to go further with the girls, but perhaps with the exception of the ex-girlfriend, there is no point in speeding up, it would be to force the development of the story in a negative way.

Let me give my honest opinion on the last few updates, and how I'm seeing a pattern here. By seeing how slow the progression with ANY character has been, Im already predicting that it'll take at least 3 more updates before we see a sex scene with a character ... You'll have a blowjob update before that, and another form of foreplay, before the 3rd update where you (hopefully but not even sure) have a sex scene.

And here is a controversial opinion to some of you it seems. Every single update I keep saying to myself that Dreams of Desire was much better than this, and every time I'm proving myself right over and over. Dreams of Desire had an okeyish story but it had incredible women, and a few of them are my all time favorites from everything that I've played on this website, BUT in this story aside from the aunt I honestly have a hard time of giving a shit about anybody, and I straight up hate some of the characters. So yeah to me this game is still a huge downgrade, doesn't help that we've had 9 freaking updates and we'll have to wait at least 3 more before we finally get some action ... I'm not looking for fuck like rabbits: the game, but bloody hell I'm also not looking for this.

I don't know why people are bringing up Philly either and his game. You really shouldn't be doing that here in this thread to be honest. Anyways, they're totally different games, different stories, different fetishes, etc, but Lewdlab has more patrons and his games consistently trend higher here on F95.

In regards to CoBD, the quality speaks for itself and I've supported it in the past, but it really doesn't have much appeal to me outside of that, because it's not a story I really want in a porn game. I mean, outside of Victoria (who is easily one of, if not the top tier girl for me out of all these games) and Chandra, I really don't like ANY of the characters Philly has created at all, in both his games. No Victoria or Chandra content in CoBD update and I don't care about it. I'd rather have a story like I have here, or something like Milfy City even. Where each character has their own little story arc of sorts with progression, and obviously the incest a huge part of the fantasy appeal.

And big LOL at thinking DoD is better or will be better than this when it's finished. Go back and play DoD again, but remember you're playing a finished game where you're not gonna feel pacing issues or update delays. Guarantee you won't think DoD is better than this when it's finished.

Look I completely agree with you that when the game will be finished it will probably be a much better experience.
But my friend, you have missed the point.

Whether you like philly's games or not doesn't matter. What i was comparing is the amount of work and patrons that go into these games. You look at lewdlab and think, hmmmm he could probably use all that money to speed this shit up and add some more team members perhaps, or render machines. but it doesn't seem like that's what he does, at least it doesn't show it with the updates.
And then you look at philly with 1000 supporters less (which is a lot less in money), and just look at the quality he can bring with that.
The difference is way too big not to give any notice. if we don't compare there is no competition, and then there is no reason for the devs to push even further, which is what we all want really, don't we (at least me)?

Also, saying you can't compare the two is like saying you can't compare different fps games or any other genres just because they have a different story. I can still compare the renders/pacing/gameplay or anything else really in the game.

And I don't know if you know this. but when MP was about to release, Lewdlab said: "I'd say this first release is probably 40% of the work of the whole game ", yet now it only seems like it's 15-20% done after 9 updates...

This is really the thing that upsets me most, why would he say that shit in the first place and then come out with a game that barely contained anything.

I still think Lewdlab is a good dev (for the incest community) in terms of renders. The story is okay, nothing special.
But he has disappointed so many times.
even Icstor (which is considered a lost cause at this point lol) has not disappointed me like lewd has.

I don't know about you, but I like to have some adult content in adult games, especially after 9 updates.
I'm all about character progression and story, but this is taking too long. imo he has had many opportunities to add some fap material without interrupting the story and character progression too much. I mean like come on what's the big difference between a bj and hj if said character already agreed to the latter...

Side rant: Might be an unpopular opinion, but some of his supporters are like simps.

I just played the update. I like that Joyce scene and how she accepted the relationship. She even started to buy kinky clothes, I hope this continue. I would like see her in some slutty outfits as game progress. For Isabel scene, I am not gonna lie I expected a blowjob scene or similar. She was more open with MC than Joyce until this update, imo. Tanya is submissive which surprised me but I like it.

We also learned something with main plot. Curious whats coming next. I think something bad is going to happen to twin brother and father. Idk, I kinda get that vibe from that scene.
