Start the Game > Extras > DLC > Import
Navigate to where you downloaded the DLC and restart the game when it tells you.

or maybe, just maybe... use the built in function to properly install the DLC as intended without renaming anything

I must have missed that as I was posting it
And that didn't work for me either, since I was still using version 1.0
A typical case of not ready correctly...my bad

Try downloading a fresh copy of both the game and the DLC (do not rename it), it worked first time when I did it.

try moving the game folder somewhere else, maybe the drive is full or has other write restrictions

Drive isn't full and there are no write restrictions. In the end, it doesn't work, for some weird reason. I'll just have accept that for now.

Thanks a lot, Its working fine for me. I'm playing the Galactic DLC content.
However, I don't think I'll be able to explore all choices in one game play.

So suppose I close the game and open it again sometime later, do I need to install the DLC once again or installing it once is enough? Thanks

it will always be there

maybe the DLC download got corrupted, try downloading it again
and... just making sure you are on windows (not some emulator) ?

it "should" just work

other than that there is the manual way that would involve unpacking the DLC file (is just a renamed .tar file) and then move the content to your game directory manually....
