No. I'm extracting to a custom folder, directly below c:\ and I'm on 64-bit Windows 11.

As long as the folder does not contain any unusual characters in the path, and it's not deep within multiple sub-folders, it'll run. But anything other than that, and you'll run into errors.

The path shouldn't be any longer than, say, C:\Games\Midnight Sin v0.3.2.

Yeah. It's my standard folder for extracting games from F95.
It's really this single file within the archive and I can't find a solution.

However, I've downloaded the latest version again (for the third time), from the third hoster and now it's extracting just fine. So it seems to be solved for whatever reason.

We always recommend using

to extract the files/folders as it's been reliable for us and the players we've recommended it to. If you're not used to using it, it might seem a little daunting at first. But what I tell the players on how to extract the game is this:

1. Right click on the archive.
2. Select "7-Zip" from the pop-up sub menu.
3. Select "Open archive" (see screenshot in spoiler).
4. When the "7-Zip" window appears, click on the blue extract button (see screenshot in spoiler).
5. In the "Copy to:" box, type in the drive letter and folder you want the game to be extracted to. In my example, I used C:\games\ (see screenshot in spoiler).
6. Click "OK".

Are you getting an error message during extraction, and if so, what error are you seeing? Have you checked your Windows event logs in Event Viewer? Is there likely an AV product flagging the game or any of its files? Are you able to get the game to load at all, or go through the process of trying to load?

Sycho ; I had similar issues a year ago, with Win Defender, blocking 7zip, because it didn't like the last version of 7, I had to whitelist the archive, although I guess this issue is already solved it could be a possible cause.

I've enjoyed Faerin 's previous games quite a bit and Midnight Sin is poised to be my favorite yet.

All the women in this one are just gorgeous. Hottest group of girls in all of his games to date.

I restarted the game without the cheat thingy.

I have now done all events I can do, except get the book from Madeline.
It says to go into her room when the bathroom is being cleaned.
I have done that probably a dozen times and searched all over the room.

any hints on what I should next?

I think it was in a bedside table drawer. Left side bottom iirc. Assuming it isn't randomized.

It certainly should be in the room.

It certainly should be in the room.

It is randomized. IIRC, there are seven possible locations (and AFAIK it never is the first one you try). There is an overview pic of all possible hiding places in this thread, not too long ago, but I cannot seem to find it.

Go into Madeline's room at 21:00 and click on the book at the foot of her bed (you can't take it yet).

Then go back into her room at 16:00 the next chance you get and click any one of the 7 highlighted areas for the book.

Than go to the section How to get the Book of Sin and search for the last book, there are all the instructions you need.
