I have tried following the walkthrough but when I try to search for the book of lust I cant find it, i press all of the different things(books, 4 drawers, 2 pillows) in there but nothing happens.

That's the one I asked about earlier. If it's the same issue I ran in, it's that you are in the room too early. Go back a few hours later in the evening. The book lies very prominently on that couch thingy (don't know the english term) in front of the bed.

Then that would have been a much different hint, as there are three occasions you can go into Madeline's room during the day (not counting checking on her as she's reading her book or when you have to sneak into her room at night). So the hint you gave was for going into her room while the door is unlocked (literally says that in the hint).
The other ones would have said "Her room is unlocked when Rebecca prepares her evening bath." followed by "Maybe I can sneak into her room when Rebecca is cleaning the bathroom.". The third (as mentioned above) would have said "When she is cleaning Madeline's room in the afternoon, she doesn't lock the door". So knowing which of the three hints she is showing would be important to know in order to give the right answer.

Tried going to Madelines room at 2100 but can never get in. Restarted the game and it's the first time I've come across this issue. How to resolve it?

If Rebecca's or Madeline's hint says the following:
(Rebecca's hint) "When she is cleaning Madeline's room in the afternoon, she doesn't lock the door." Go to her room at 15:00.
(Madeline's hint) "Her room is unlocked when Rebecca prepares her evening bath." Go to her room at 21:00.
(Madeline's hint) "Maybe I can sneak into her room when Rebecca is cleaning the bathroom." Go to her room at 16:00.
Note: The last two hints are for obtaining the book of Lust.

I deleted the game as I couldn't seem to progress. Cheers for taking the time though.
