The fights were going to be harder, but people kept complaining.
As it stands, most of us on the team can beat Sergi (hardest fight) with no bonuses now.

From a logical point of view, this explanation does not work here.

I understand that it's simpler from a coding perspective. I just can't shake the feeling that many events could easily happen on Saturday, but they don't.
The only event that happens regardless of the day of the week is Ruslan's fight club.

By the way, why is Sunday considered a normal day from a game mechanics perspective? Shouldn't it be a day off? Although, maybe it varies from country to country, I don't know.

Those who complain can simply skip all fights. They'll still earn money, as for bonus points, they can be earned by fighting less powerful opponents (if we're talking about Ruslan's fight club).

Even I, with my crooked hands, can pretty easily defeat Sergei with the stock Mike.

You have to put the remaining books in the bookshelf in the study. Doing so reveals a color code that you have to solve (use the colors from all of the paintings and match them with each book of sin). That code is the code you need to unlock the door.

Did you try it earlier in the day? He gets caught, so he has to do it later. Also, the event needs to happen at that time for other reasons, meta wise.

Yeah, there are a couple of things, but it would be a lot more work to sort that out, so he chose to lock most other events.

Yeah, I tried to get it as the Sunday one, but it is what it is.

Yeah, I am old, my arm is partly disabled, I am very dyslexic, and have no hand eye coordination, and I can do it. The best way to keep it difficult, is to not buy all of the extras (like mouth guard), and not max your stats (keep them at 50, min needed for most events, Devon only needs 25 skill, so there is that).

I did push for a difficulty option for it, and I still might try for that again before we go to steam.

I was simply pointing out that whether Mike did it at 10 PM or between 10 PM and, for example, 4 AM, Rebecca wouldn't be in the house at that time, so he wouldn't be caught. I showed up the house a little after 11 PM (after another fight) and couldn't open the secret door, even though Rebecca wasn't in the house (and wouldn't be until the morning).

I'm not a programmer, I haven't seen the game code, and so I can't say what depends on what, whether certain things can be implemented, etc. Apparently (in the context of the previous paragraph), such a tight connection is really necessary (this scene starts automatically, after all). It's just if we put aside the programming side, many questions arise about what's happening and why.

However, in this case, players who absolutely need to get all the achievements will be somewhat disappointed.
The discrepancy is that a more formidable fighter like Sergei does not require 25 Skill points to fight him, but a fighter comparable in difficulty to Alex does.
The fight that drives the story is too easy, and fights with a leveled-up protagonist become too slow and therefore boring. Perhaps the arrow movement slowdown coefficient should be reduced when Mike receives skill points (if it's possible)? And the fight with Devon definitely needs to be made more difficult.

I'm not sure this will solve the problem, but it's worth a try. Just keep in mind that the players reward should depend on the difficulty level.
