@Sonico - Your problem sounds like a privilege problem with the PC where the game is not allowed to run either by a system administrator or a 3rd party program like an antivirus or firewall.
The game tries to create a save file on the first run , hence some antiviruses may pick it up as a false positive where it thinks that the game is a virus. Try pausing the antivirus and trying again.

2. Redownloading the game and extracting it on a different folder.

Guys having problem starting the game should provide the following so we can help you:
1. 1st time playing the game?

No, I've been playing since part 1 version 12

2. How exactly are you having the problem? Game starts and stops? Video and then stop or crashes while playing?

executing the .exe results in init failure immediately with the message "init failed, could not load game. There is no game file or the game file is corrupted. For more info view message.log". below I've provided the message.log

The more info on the problem is better. Just saying "Game crash" or "Game wont start" is not exactly the best way to describe the problem so I can pinpoint it and help.

The doesn't crash it just fails to start all together. P.S. where the first part part 1, part 2 seems to be bugged is it dependent on a part 1 save point or what ?

i hoped this version 0.17 would have more content, great game tho 10/10, but i hope version 0.18 comes out with even longer gameplay than the previous version, because the last scene ended so quickly that it left me hanging... and hard

Try running in compatibility mode with an older version that windows 7 like windows Vista.
Also
Try putting the game on your desktop in a folder and try running from there
Also
For troubleshooting's sake , try downloading Part 1 first and see if that one starts

EDIT: Running on my desktop work but I'm curious where is part 1 is a separate download on paetron or only part 2 is available on all platforms ?

Where did you downloaded the game from?

I downloaded from the Mega link on the first page here. I ended up figuring a workaround that allowed me to finish the update. After the glitch happened I made a new save, closed the game, and loaded from the newer save. That seemed to fix it. As a weird thing to note, while the glitch was happening if I didn't spam click and tried to hit ESC instead, the game would bounce back to Glorias house and let me replay the final scene from last update. Then it would take me home and the glitch would happen again when interacting with the computer.

If I remember it should be inside Gloria's house, the mother should standing at the door and hammer by the music box and scissors on top of a box on your right hand side of the screen

Part 1 is still on Patreon but it seems it got removed from here. Maybe a fellow follower with upload it again here (or I will do it tomorrow)
Part 1 and Part 2 are both available in MAC and PC. Part goes from 0.01 until 0.14 while Part 2 from 0.15 to latest. Saves do not need to migrate and each Part has it's own

In order for the items to show in the living room you need to talk with the girls first. You are missing a step.

We made a lot of code so that the game will auto-fix it self when it hits most common problems. Usually a load or waiting 5 seconds (auto-check process) or a few others will autofix it self if it detects problems of this type.

wow this game is getting disappointment every update in question of size, the content so far is great at its best which i can point some simple things that can make the game better but the wait for such small update its just not even worth the money and time.
