Still ran full screen, and alt + tab is just getting back to the desktop.
I run on Windows 10, if that makes a difference to how you check things.

Read the walkthrough and do not skip steps. The character won't blindly do things unless there is a reason. If he is not dropping it now then it means that you skipped a step

To do it daily you need to enter the bathroom on Wed , without turning off the heater and steal money. Once you do that , then you can steal money daily at any time, even mornings but only once.
