An update is still an update regardless of how much content was implemented. Game is not dead just because you're unhappy with the last one. His last patreon post was on the 27th of June, announcing the poll results. It takes an awful lot of time for the guy to continue to push high quality content and you're forgetting that he only took a break this one time for the first time in four years of game development.
He's also had real-life issues to deal with and has only recently come back on track.
I am not talking about dificulties in his real life no do I talk about the creator of the game. I am talking about game being dead, since "real content update" is released.

It has been almost 9 months (i do not count the Christmas special so 11/18/18) The creator has very little contact and just releases a render here and there. These renders can very well just be unpublished work from 2018. Until an actual update is released it is more than fair that a person can feel the game is either abandoned or dead. I think an update will come but also can see 8/6 come and go without a release too.
But you see you put this in a reasonable perspective right now which is fine. But these "game is dead" kinda comments are not quite reasonable or fair. I understand the emotional upheaval but the reaction to this is just as understandable i think so.

Falshood? Game isn't updated for a year and you say falshood? When game is not updated for a year it is dead.
You realise that exactly this is another lie, right?
So in two sentence you menage to lie 2 times.
And you expect someone to believe you, wow.

Im not on either side, but that's reasonable point of view.

I feel like situations like these and how easy it is to get away with it, will create sooner or later more developers that will just what we like to call it ''milk'' their customers in some ways.

Little ol' cynical me always being 50/50 on things tells me that Dev's are not completely honest and it's just as easy to use the ''hey something happened IRL'' card and in my opinion some use that as an smoke shield, because you just can't really confirm that, but if patrons are okay with that then i guess more power to them.

Im not hating on ICSTOR, i love his games and im sure that he didn't abandon the project and will release update like it was planned, i just think that people are just too naive when it comes to development of some games lately, but it's not about me, it's their money.

I think it's better now to just take ''i don't give a f'' stance about when update comes out and just forget about it, check update list or previews from time to time and play whatever new interests you or just do something else beyond these games.

"Ok, let's see what are people talking about milfy city"

I mean, to be honest what else do you expect people talk about at this point?
Everything has been said or speculated at this point and there's not really new info to talk about, so people will bring back the most obvious topic.

The only thing to prevent this would be closing the thread, it's not like people will talk for 9 months about the content we all know that will be there in the next update.

Coming here thinking that there will be some fresh topic out of nowhere without content to talk about is pure foolishness.

My father was a junkie who would screw anyone over for a fix including his own family and completely lacked empathy for anyone, because of his overriding need for a fix of heroine. Reading some of the angry comments here that completely disregard the creator's health and and the fact he hadn't taken time off in 4 years and angry petulance about the delay makes me think that some people here should check into rehab for their sex addiction.

An overwhelmingly absurd amount of people said:
Game is dead
I'm done responding to these type of posts. No matter how much credible evidence you throw at them, they act like Teflon pans.
For example:
I told someone that the guy wanted a few months off to sort himself out as well as take a break.
Most normal jobs give each employee 1-2 months off per year spread out in periods of a week here and a week there. This doesn't seem to matter to the butthurt community that have no right to be butthurt as I bet none of them are actual patrons. ICSTOR takes a few months off and they seem to think he's quitting. And get all ants in their pants about it.

This thread here clearly shows the ugly side of this forum.

A dev who has finished not one or two, but several games has been open and explained that he needs some time off the project, perfectly understandable that you could get burned out in a job like this, especially with all those entitled assholes who don't even pay for your work, but act as if they know everything about you better than you do yourselves.

Seriously what is wrong with those people? Is this how they treat people in RL life as well? Always assume the worst, that others are lying, cheating, scamming, don't they have any empathy, sympathy, can't they have at least a modicum of decency?

Yes, it's okay to call out creators that are scum, like when was Dual Family last updated, with the patreon running all the time, or all the Money DarkSilver got and then just left Big Brother unfinished, or Slonique who never finishes a game properly.

But what does it take for a dev to get some trust with those guys?
How many updates does he need to deliver, how many games does he need to finish, before they at least give him the benefit of the doubt that he might actually be telling the truth and really needing the time for himself?

Use Ignore function, that's the magic of internet. In the meantime I got hundreds of those people on my list. I won't imagine how I would feel when I had to read the stuff of those many. So ignore keeps your mood up, mostly ;)

It's ironic to find so many babies making a fuss on a site like this. Where are their parents?
Haha, maybe parents have no time because they complain in the AWAM thread?! :ROFLMAO:

Awful first post.
It's possible this was a sockpuppet account meant to raise the trolling temperature.

Hm, wonder which other account is clearly intended to do the same?

Reasonable supporters (and pirates) here know we're eagerly awaiting August for this game's next installment.
