not sure if it will finish caroline's story. icstor did have that poll where the harem option proved to be pretty popular.I don't think he went way over with anything, like that company thing for example; think you can choose to help the twins or not, and there may be repercussions accordingly, it's nothing complicated.
From what I've heard, outside the obvious that this update would wrap up Caroline's story line, is that there would be content with Celia and the neighbors. Don't know what else

It's hard to compare these things... I have seen several developers and each has a different approach to that.
Mainly it seems to be dependant on the Hardware used and wether or not you do this on the same engine as you try to code.
One of the main goals most Devs workeing with 3D pictures seem to have is buying a seperate workstation that can be used to render pictures 24/7... which can shorten time "wasted" on rendering drastically.
That said it's one of the most time consueming bits in development... also one of the reasons devs tend to put rendering in either regular Update reports, Graphs or statistics to show their progress

If he finishes the whole game by the end of next year, I'm not complaining. That's assuming we go from 0.6 to 1.0.
