Only for the new content. The previous animations haven't been removed obviously.

The game dont feel the same without those animatons. Right now i think he should have delayed the release till the animation where done. it woud have been better right now this update felt really rushed like he wanted to get rid of it as quickly as possible.

I like how the other dude said that Isctur deserves a little break in December like everyone else for Christmas, but Christmas only take 3-4 days at most. I suppose Icstur goes on full month vacation in December, reasonable.

He already took a vaction.. right now we are still waiting for finished 0.6 update that took more then 6 months. and it was not even in a completed state.
