I had the issue when I clicked the buton next to the x that shuts down the program. all animations. there was a notice of resolution conflict. It was solved by going to preferences and selecting full screen

Just tried that and unfortunately did not change anything

Yeh. Seems like an eternity but only because this game is awesome. Stumbled across a game called Acting Lessons which is pretty good and helps pass the time until the new update arrives for this one.
